CNC LATHE

A CNC Turning Lathe is a Computer

Controlled piece of machinery. It
allows basic machining operations
such as turning and drilling to be
carried out as on a
conventional lathe. They are
designed to use modern carbide
tooling and fully use modern
processes.

AUTOMATIC LATHE
An automatic lathe is
a lathe (usually a metal working
lathe) whose actions are
controlled automatically

CRANKSHAFT LATHE
A crankshaft is a shaft driven
by a crank mechanism, consisting
of a series of cranks and
crankpins to which the
connecting rods of an engine are
attached.

SPEED LATHE/WOOD LATHE
A wood lathe is a machine used to
form a piece of wood into a desired
shape, whether it is bowl, spindle,
vase or a variety of other useful
and/or decorative wood items. A piece
of wood is attached to a spinning arm
and various tools are used to shape
the piece of wood as it spins.

ENGINE LATHE
An engine lathe is a type of
machinery, shaped horizontally, and
it is often used to cut metal. The
metal is turned, and the machine uses
special cutting tools to create the
desired shape. Primary features of
an engine lathe are gears, a stepped
pulley to operate spindle speeds,
tailstock, and a carriage.

TOOL ROOM LATHE

A tool room lathe is generally a high
precision lathe having a gearbox in
the headstock offering an extended
range of thread pitches and feeds. It
is used for making precision
components in the tool room.

CAPSTAN AND TURRET LATHE

In Capstan lathe the turret is mounted
on a short slide which slides on the
saddle. In turret lathe the turret can
be moved throughout the length. But
in capstan lathe the turret movement
is short. Turret lathe is used for
heavy and medium work, whereas capstan
lathe is suitable for small to heavy
works.
