Myths and folklores are literatures that have been a part of the Philippine history and culture. The myths of the
Philippines aims to explain the nature of the world and how it was formed. Usually, these myths features creatures
that is not proven to exist. These myths are commonly passed down orally and has been living for decades, meaning
even with today's level of technology, it is impossible to get to know of where or even when these myths started
and who started them. Folklores are also passed generations to generations through people's mouth, and tackles
about the traditional beliefs and customs of a specific place or community. As the myths started early, folklores
were also known to exist since before and has been a part of the history and culture of our country. These two types
of literature in the Philippines usually involves creatures such as mythical beasts, monsters and enchanted beings
living either in the Earth or another dimension with somewhere in the country as its entrance and a portal to its
world unto another.

Maganda", and the well-known "Mariang Makiling". Some examples of folklores or folktales are "Ang Matsing at Ang
Pagong", "Sina Adlaw at Bulan", and "Ang Alamat ng Pinya". These two kinds of literature are important to the
history of the Philippines as they represent and tells what the Filipinos before were believing in, and in some
folktales it also tells how the Filipinos before live and how their daily lives go. In the sector of literary of different
countries,
