Use 2 fingers to zoom in and out. Use 1 finger to pan the drawing in any
direction.

Create
Node

To create a node, press a finger near desired location for the node,
square cursor will appear abouve the finger point and it will move as
finger move while pressing. When cursor reach exactly it should be,
release finger and a node will be created at the cursor location. Location
in x,y,z coordinate will be shown right-top corner of the screen. Current
setting is SNAP mode. Point will be snapped at grid-intersection, existin
node, end-point and mid-point of existing lines sothat you can get exact
locations.

Line

To get a line, do as for the node but it needs 2 points. To draw a line,
nodes are the options. You can draw any lines without creating end
nodes.
Generate truss

Select
Pointer

One touch selection can be made on lines and nodes. Selection is in

toggle mode. If you touch selected objects, they will be deselected agai

Select Window

Need 2 points to get a rectangle window. Every objects fully inside the
window are selected or deselected in toggle mode.

DeselectAll
Select all lines

Modify
Move

Move selected objects to new location.

1. Select objects to be moved.

2. Press a finger to the base point and release.
3. Press a finger for the new location of base point and release.
Copy

Copy selected objects to new location.

1. Select objects to be copied.

2. Press a finger to the base point and release.
3. Press a finger for the new location of base point and release.
Delete
Divide lines

Divide each selected lines into 2 equal lines.

Assign
Line Properties

Assign selected lines by entering material properties such as E, nu, dens

and sectional properties such as A, Ixx, Iyy, Ip.

Node Properties
Assign selected nodes by entering forces, prescribed displacement
(together with the corresponding restraint), spring stiffness and restrain
ux, uy, and/or uz.

Run
Fill nodes

Add nodes at the ends of all lines. Node will not be repeated if an existin
node has the same location.

Static Analysis

Run static linear analysis on truss by using the assigned values.

Display result sheet

Display all input and results of the last run truss.

2. Assumptions
1. Truss lies on the xy plane.
2. Truss bars are jointed with the pins having 2 degrees of freedom in
and y direction.
3. External forces are only applied at the nodes although distributed
load are applied on the truss bars.
4. Self weight of truss bar is assumed distributed along the bar.
5. All distributed load on the bars are transformed to the compatible
nodal loads.
6. Predescribed displacement of supports are taken account only whe
corresponding displacement is restraint.
7. Support stiffness is taken account only when corresponding
displacement is unrestraint.
Tutorial 1
1. create, generate triangular truss
2. select, pointer, tab on 2 bottom crossed nodes
3. assign, node properties
4. check dx and dy in dialog box
5. create, node
6. tab on top most joint
7. select, pointer, tab on top most joint
8. assign, node properties
9. fill -2 in force y values
10. select, window
11. tab left-top and tab again right-bottom for all members
12. assign, line properties
13. fill 200 for E value and 5 for A
14. run, static linear
15. run, display result
16. It is easiest way and you can draw as you like for the several truss
pattern.
