Citi PeKa (Peduli dan BerKarya)

Established in 1998, Citi Peka is the umbrella theme for all


community activities in Indonesia. Our programs, most of which are
funded by the Citi Foundation, currently focuses on three key
pillars, namely Pathways to Progress, Financial Inclusion and
Sustainable Cities. Guided by Citi Foundation’s principal of “More
than Philanthropy,” Citi Peka draws on the efforts of Citi employees
to volunteer in social activities.

2019/2020 – FOCUS AREA (PATHWAYS TO PROGRESS)
1. Youth Ecopreneurship Initiative

The Ecopreneurship Initiative will introduce students to potentials of


entrepreneurship as a means of securing a sustainable income. It
also extend further its focus and emphasize environmental
custodianship from its originate program Youth Entrepreneurship
Initiative

School Target : 25 schools


Students Target : 8.000 students
Location Target : Bandung, Denpasar, Jakarta, Semarang,
Surabaya
Partner: Prestasi Junior Indonesia

2. Skilled Youth Program

Aimed to empower the economic potential of young people aged


16-25 years, including students of vocational schools located in
several industrial areas , through enhancing both their soft skills and
hard skills, providing business entrepreneurship assistance and job
guidance

Employability Program Target : 800 youths


Entrepreneurship Program Target : 200 youths
Location Target :Kab. Karawang, Kota Bekasi, Kab. Bekasi, Kab.
Purwakarta, Kota Bandung, Kab. Bandung

3. Creative Youth in Indonesia Heritage Sites

Through this program, we will continue to provide entrepreneurship training to


low-income Indonesian youth living close to Indonesia’s World Heritage sites
who are engaged in the production of traditional arts and culture, creative
industries and tourism to help them better sustain and grow their businesses.

Beneficiary Target : 400 Youths


Sites Target : Borobudur, Prambanan, Yogyakarta-Central Java, Lake
Toba-North Sumatera, Kota Tua-Jakarta and Bali
Partner: UNESCO

Financial Inclusions

Citi Foundation will invest in the effort of develop a more inclusive financial system that
provides greater access to low-income communities and individuals

• Maintain our leadership role in supporting efforts that develop a more inclusive financial
system for low-income communities

• Continue to move the sector forward by incorporating financial coaching, education, and
product access into other service delivery programs

• When appropriate, invest in standalone financial inclusion programming

WHAT TO BE CONSIDER IN PUTTING YOUR CONCEPT NOTE

•Investments in Direct Service are focused on the positive gains that will
accrue for individual participants, communities or organizations.

•If an organization provides technical assistance and training to other


nonprofit organizations to build their capacity to expand their work and
increase their impact, this is also a Direct Service investment.

Investments in Capacity Building and Planning are focused on how


the organization will be different and how the investment will enable
it to increase results for participants served

Investments in Systems Change are focused on how the


organization’s work will inform change on a macro-level including
influencing policy or changing practitioner practices. Often
programs are more multi-year and may require both short-and long-
term results to be defined
