6. How important is for industrial engineers to understand valuation and

negotiation of technology in order to lead companies to achieve its
strategic goals?

Industrial Engineering Conclusions

Group number: Date:
Student Conclusion
For Industrial Engineers it is imperative to understand the importance of the
valuation and negotiation of technology in companies to achieve strategic objectives
because thanks to its implementation, companies have the opportunity to grow and
expand their market across geographical boundaries, conquering the world, If they
want to.

Companies that are managed or directed by Industrial Engineers that use and
develop technological tools will improve their performance in all areas contributing
Irwin M. Mantilla
to minimize costs while becoming more competitive.

In addition, these professionals understand that it is important to develop negotiation

skills where, fairly, everyone wins, because nothing is signed on stone.
The valuation and negotiation of technology is of great importance for industrial
engineers since these are responsible for the analysis, interpretation, understanding,
design, programming and control of production and logistics systems with a view to
managing, implementing and establishing optimization strategies and reach the
Andres Fernando objective of achieving maximum performance of the processes of creation of goods
Amaya
and / or the provision of services.

In fact, thanks to the fact that the technology emerged and we have a great use and
development of it on a daily basis in the continuous improvements of the industries
(depending on the area to be deepened), we can automate these processes and thus
achieve the objective of maximizing performance and also reducing costs
VALUATION AND NEGOTIATION OF TECHNOLOGY 212032_32

notoriously in the industries that every day should be more ready and at the forefront
of new and profitable technologies that facilitate and increase the benefit we can get
from each new process that is developed daily.
With regard to my personal opinion, the industrial engineer is very important since it
covers and adapts to the different work situations in, enters into the resolution of the
technical problems raised, as in the design and implementation of new technologies in the
process productive, in the collaboration of technological valuation which gives us a series
of knowledge acquired during the course which does not allow the organization to execute
a series of evaluations to know if it complies with what is established in the production,
Jhon Levinsson distribution and use of goods and services, in order to adapt and anticipate market
Noguera
changes, implementing technologies that are friendly to the environment and investing in
R&D.
Today we are in the digital era where it provides and guarantees a food to generate new
alliances and profits in our companies and also allows us to reduce the time in performing
the different tasks in the company to gain competitive advantage over its rivals. they still
do not see sustainability as a link in technological management, nor as one of their
business objectives but as part of corporate social responsibility.
