The Easy Design
For this Wrap, you can choose the kind of yarn and the needles, for different seasons.
I give you the pattern for two options: one whit bulky yarn and another whit medium yarn.
Materials needed:
Bulky yarn: Any bulky yarn (or worsted yarn with 2 strands of yarn held together).
I used Bernat Premium yarn with 2 strands of yarn held together: 850-950yds.
Crochet hook size L/11 (8.0mm). Gauge 8 DC= 4"
Medium yarn: Any medium (worsted) yarn: 550-650yds
Crochet size H/8 (5.0mm). Gauge 12DC=4"
2 buttons – 2 inches diameter
tapestry needle
Optional: wadding or fiberfill (to stuff lightly the collar)

Gauge:
Bulky yarn: Approx. 8DC= 4inch = 10cm whit U.S. size L /11-8 mm crochet hook or size
needed to obtain gauge.
Medium yarn: Approx. 12DC= 4inch = 10cm whit U.S. size H/8-5 mm crochet hook or size
needed to obtain gauge
Is not unusual for gauge to vary from person to person. If it takes you fewer stitches to
make your swatch, try using a smaller size hook or needles. If more stitches, try a larger
size hook or needles.
Size : Wrap measures 57cm/23” wide ( without collar) x 150cm/ 60” long approximately.
However, it could easily be customized and knit with any yarn and to any size you please.
Legend:
DC= double crochet
TC=triple crochet
SS= slip stitch
St(s) =stitch(es)
Small shell (DC, Ch1, DC) all in the same stitch.
Medium shell: (2DC, Ch1, 2DC) all in the same stitch.
Big Shell: (3DC, Ch2, 3DC) all in the same stitch.
Final Shell: (2DC, 2TC, Ch2, 2 TC, 2DC) all in the same stitch.

NOTES - This wrap is

worked flat - back and forth
and is made from 2 Panels that are worked from center in opposite directions. The arrows
indicate the direction of work:

The Wrap Panel (W) is worked first, top down, then Collar Panel ( C) is worked in opposite
direction= bottom up, on center of Wrap Panel (see the picture)

Row 1: SS, 78(118) DC, SS = 78(118) DC. Turn.

Row 2: 3SS, 74(114) DC, SS =74(114) DC. Turn.

Row 3: 3SS, 70(110) DC, SS =70 (110) DC. Turn.

Row 4: SS, DC until the last St, SS. Turn.

Repeat Row 4 until you have 30(46) DC. Fasten off.

Now that the wrap is done, we’ll crochet 2 buttonholes at the top edge of the one
side panel and sew on buttons.

Baste a strand through first 29(45) Sts
from the Cast On of wrap, tighten and
fasten (see the picture).
Crochet 2 buttonholes = Join yarn at the
top of side panel, 6 ch- or chain the number
of stitches that correspond with the size of
your button (the chain should be slightly
smaller than the diameter of the button).
skip 1.5”, slip St, 6 ch- or chain the number
of stitches that correspond with the size of your button, skip 1.5”, slip St.(see the
picture).
Sew on buttons. I placed the buttons approx. 20 cm/8’’ from the top and 30cm
/12’’ from the lateral edge (see the picture).
If you prefer a more voluminous collar: bend the collar and sew the edge of the
collar to the wrap to form the shape of a cylinder. Stuff lightly the collar (the
cylinder) with wadding or fiberfill. Sew the collar's ends so that the fiberfill remains
in its place.

Finishing: Weave in ends.

Pour ce modèle vous choisissez le type de fil et les aiguilles.
Je vous présente le tutoriel pour un wrap fait avec un fil bulky - épais et un autre avec un fil
moyen. En effet, vous pouvez faire ce modèle pour différentes saisons, en choisissant des
fils différents : laine, coton, acrylique…
Vous pouvez aussi choisir la dimension du wrap que vous voulez.

Fournitures:
La variante Bulky : Laine Bulky/Chunky - sinon, vous pouvez utiliser laine moyen avec le fil
mis en double- J’ai utilise Bernat Premium avec le fil mis en double : 780-870m.
Crochet U.S. taille L / 11-8 mm
La variante Moyen : Laine moyen – 500-600m;Crochet U.S. taille H/8 (5.0mm).
2 Boutons diamètre 5 cm.
Une aiguille à tapisserie à bout rond.

Échantillon:
Bulky : approx. 8 BS=10cm avec Crochet U.S. taille L /11-8 mm. Si nécessaire, changer la
taille du crochet pour obtenir la grandeur de l’échantillon.
Moyen : approx. 12 BS=10cm avec Crochet U.S. taille H/8-5mm. Si nécessaire, changer la
taille du crochet pour obtenir la grandeur de l’échantillon.

Dimensions : Approx 57( sans col) /150cm.

partie (C).– (voir la photo).
Les flèches montrent la direction du crochet.

Attacher le fil dans le rang de fondation, avec une maille coulée.

Rg 1: 1MC, continuer avec 78(118)BS, 1 MC = 78(118) BS. Tournez.

Rg 2: 1MC, continuer avec 74(114)BS, 1 MC = 74(114) BS. Tournez.

Rg 3: 1MC, continuer avec 70(110)BS, 1 MC = 70(110) BS. Tournez.

Rg 4:1MC, continuer avec BS jusqu’à la dernière maille, 1 MC = 78(118) BS.

Tournez.

Répéter le rang 4 jusqu’il vous restent 30(46) BS. Arrêter et couper le fil.

Maintenant que le wrap est terminé, il faut crocheter 2 boutonnières sur le bord
supérieur d’une partie latérale et coudre les boutons.

Crocheter les 2 boutonnières = Passer un

fil dans les premières 29(45) mailles du
latéral du châle, serrer et arrêter. Crocheter
4 mailles en l’air (ou le nombre de mailles
qui correspondent à la taille de votre bouton)
- la chaînette devrait être légèrement inférieure au diamètre du bouton. Sautez
2.5cm, 1 maille coulée, 4 mailles en l’air (ou le nombre de mailles qui
correspondent à la taille de votre bouton), sautez 2.5cm, 1 maille coulée. (voir la
photo).

Coudre les boutons. J'ai placé les boutons à l'environ 20 cm /8 '' du haut et
30cm /12 '' du latéral (voir l'image).

Si vous préférez un col plus volumineux: pliez le col et cousez le bord du col sur le
wrap pour obtenir la forme d'un cylindre. Rembourrer légèrement le col (le cylindre)
avec de la fibre de polyester. Cousez les extrémités du col de sorte que le polyester
reste à sa place.

Couper le fil.
Rentrer toutes les
extrémités.
