 ABSTRACT

The main aim to analyze a business to understand industry in technical and non-technical way
to get maximum output and grow the company in financial, technical, human resource and
give their customers best services and product.
This company is established in year 2001 with a base warehouse in Kathwada Ahmedabad.
Our project contains the origin of ACTIVE ENGINEERS, struggles of their founders and
products. Apart from this we have also taken into consideration of their employees and
motivation, after the effects of recession of 2008, Demonetization and GST.
They Provide Products which run with minimal maintenance and service. Their mission and
vision is based on “continuous innovation” and delivering. This company is ISO 9001-2008
certified and following their model.
We can understand their business strategies and foundation base to get knowledge of the
company and also understand plan of how they become India’s leading Panel Manufacturing
Company.

 INTRODUCTION

BASIC OVERVIEW
 In any Industrial or Organization will not start with Electric Panel.
Electric Panel is most important part of the Industries or any
Organization. There is many types of panel are available and their use is
different as per load and safety purpose for Costly Equipment.
 Main Purpose for Electric panel is for safety because in electric line
voltage always is not constant, it is depend on the flow of current and
load.
 If we will not put electric panel then by the Voltage increase it will
damage directly on instrument.
 But if there is panel is available then if there is any disturbance occurs in
line it will directly trip it and it will save our equipment.
 And one person can handle over all plant in one panel or in one room.
 And Industries there is many types of line are available if we want o
shutdown one line then we will easily do it by using of panel.
 If there is any error or damage of line, it is easy to find damage in line by
using panel.
 In PLC and SCADA panel use for automation panel it will use for run
auto and by that it will production will increase.
 In a day’s any industry or organization will not start their plant without
charge panel. Firstly they procure panel then they start their plant.

 PRODUCT EVALUATION

 Evaluation of the product includes suitability and safeties for use by customers are
checked out.
 Imported products are kept in store department where the checking and verification
are done by the store head of the departmental stores.
 Testing of products are done for three main reasons:
1. To prove that the product compiles with relevant standards.
2. To investigate the faults of the products.
3. To compare a product with others of a similar design.

 Both Owners are Electrical Engineers and started their job in Panel Manufacturing
company.
 They Started work in SWATI SWITCHGEAR as a Design Engineer. They worked in
8 years in that company and learn all the technical and non technical knowledge with
hard work what they will use in their company.
 Their vision is to made a own panel manufacture company so they stared their
business in panel manufacturing business.

SELECTION OF LOCATION

 They Selected Kathwada GIDC because it oldest GIDC in Ahmedabad.

 As compared to other cities, doing transportation in Ahmedabad is more flexible, as a
result of which transportation becomes quick.
 As being the native of Ahmedabad, was also an important factor in deciding the
location.
 So, expansion of the business is also done on the basis of population of a particular
area.

 GROWTH & MILESTONES

 When business was started they took industrial shade on rent in Kathwada GIDC
 They started business with an investment of RS.3,00,000 only.
 When the business was started the number of employees are only 8 and today the
number of employees are around 170.
 Today the total annual turnover of ACTIVE is RS. 32,00,00,000.
 Today they are financially able to purchase new Industrial shade in Kathwada GIDC.
 Slowly and gradually they started to provide more variety of Panels according to the
requirement of the customers.

Customer relationship management (CRM) refers to the principles, practices and guidelines
that an organization follows when interacting with its customers. From ACTIVE
ENGINEER’S point of view, this entire relationship encompasses direct interaction with
customers, such as sales and service related processes, and forecasting and analysis of
customer trends and behaviours.
CRM system in ACTIVE ENGINEERS aggregates customer information in one place to
make businesses easy access to data, such as contact data, purchase history and any previous
contact with customer service representatives. This data helps employees interact with client,
anticipate customer needs, recognize customer updated and track performance goal when it
comes to sales.
Customer relationship management according to Active Engineers is a business strategy that
enables their departmental stores to improve in the following areas: -

 PRODUCT DETAILS

ACTIVE ENGINEERS manufacturing various types of LT and HT Panel like PCC, MCC,
MLDB, MPDB, APFC and Synchronizing Panel.
L.T panel are use for 6300A and H.T panels are use for above 6300A. They are working with
difference switchgear and operating system.
PCC and MCC panels are control all over the Industry in one place. By that panel we can
control and give the safety of Expensive machines which can damage by any electrical
disturbance. Main purpose of that panel is giving safety and one operator can operate all the
machine in one place and also save the electricity.
MLDB and MPDB is the sub-panel of MCC and PCC they are controlled by the them.
Active Engineer is license partner with Siemens and they produce as per Siemens design and
also give the Royalty Fee to Siemens for using there “SIEPAN SOFTWERE”.

 Effect of GST

 Before GST

Before GST is applied ACTIVE ENGINEERS had to pay vat & excise duty
on the product they are transporting to in & out of India. They have vat &
excise number for payment of excise duty; they had paid 5.4% excise duty on
their product.

 After GST

When GST is applied in India ACTIVE ENGINEERS change their vat &
excise number to GST number, now they are paying 18% & 28% GST as per
their GST number.

 Effect of GST
GST implication is beneficial for Mr.ATP & JAGDISH JOSWAMI, because
when they paid excise duty 5.4% it is not refundable so it will counting in their
cost of production while they sale the product.

But when GST is coming it was apply more than excise duty but it is totally
refundable so that they can reduce their cost of production.

By this way GST is beneficial for ACTIVE ENGINEERS

Because of recession in 2008-09 their turn over had reduce

In 2016-17 turnover of company is reduce because Demonetization.

 Strength

Strength of ACTIVE ENGINEERS is that the only one company in

Ahmadabad which have SIEMENS LICENCE PARTER.
They are having a mass market in India.

 Weakness

In all most time the delivery of Siemens material is delay so they cannot
supply their panel as giving time to customer.
So some time they have to stock some regular use Siemens material but some
tome if will effect on the profit what they actually get on that project.

 Opportunity

Future opportunity for them in market of this type of panel is they plan to open
their manufacturing plant in another district of Gujrat.

 NEW BUSINESS IDEA

In Present China is lead company to manufacture Solar Panels.

So, our new business idea to manufacturing Solar Panels in India and Install it in less
price then China.

Solar PV has specific advantages as an energy source: once installed, its operation
generates no pollution and no greenhouse gas, it shows simple scalability in respect of
power needs and silicon has large availability in the Earth’s crust.

ALL Most Solar Panel We Import from China. In India We just commissioning work
we do .And We can Manufacture Solar panel and tie-up with INDIAN
GOVERNMENT, So Indian Government can help us for financial and also give
concession to customer by his “New and Renewable Energy.”

And the cost of manufacturing the Solar panel is very less and cost is depending on
the customer requirement. Most of the equipment what they need for manufacturing
solar panel already they have and all the labour have also good knowledge.

of all solar installations,” said Sumant Sinha, chief executive of Renew Power. “This could
put the industry in major uncertainty in terms of adding new capacity.” It has also attracted
criticism from smaller manufacturers, which say that by including raw materials under the
tariff, the regulator has made it much more expensive for them to make panels. Only a
handful of Indian companies make the individual cells that are then knitted together to make

 Business Idea & Goals: Our business idea is “Solar Panel Manufacturing” it is
our product. We will manufacture solar panel in India because in India almost solar
