Class 2/F Date 4/11/2019

I have taught grade two a English lesson, my lesson outcomes were links into four criteria first in
listening students will listen and identify initial, median and final phonemes in simple words,
reading students will decode short and simple unfamiliar words using phonemic awareness and
blending strategies when reading, speaking students will pronounce learned words using correct
stress and intonation and writing students will use phonological awareness and blending
strategies to write new words.
I always try to make different worksheets and activities to the special need student to cater there
needs in the class, also there is a special need teacher she helps the student to finish their work in
the class.
Teachers always should to use positive reinforcement in the class to encourage the student, even
if there has done not well work, teacher can use the positive reinforcement so student can feel it’s
okay if we have mistaken and we can fix it, to me I always use the reward stamps that include a
positive and encouraging words such as ( nice work, well done ,awesome, very good, fantastic
and super) ,by stamp it at their work that they have done or their hands, this way word really
works for student and they finish the work fast and well to get this stamps and these words in
their hands.

The aim of my lesson was to explain lesson how to pronounce short u word and how to write
words include short u.
My student already has an idea about short (a) words and this lesson was challenging because the
student make mistakes the short (a) words with short (u) words!
At the end of each lesson I should to give them an idea about the next lesson topic by asking
them question or let them think or search about the topic.
According to the 21st Century Skills, I have linked some of the skills to the lesson which are
they, productivity and accountability: Introduce learning to manage small projects, individually
or in teams, to produce the intended results.

My lesson was for grade 2 students, I have done It in 4th of November 2019, my learning
objective or goal was how to pronounce the vocab correctly to the student, because I was facing a
problem when I pronounce short a and u words, I can’t make a different between them.
The challenge that may my students face in the lesson which they can pronounce (u) in wrong
way, the solutions for this problem by repeating the word more than one time so the student can
get it.

I have done this lesson with grade 2/F, they were doing very they follow my instructions and
done the work on time, they were very excited while they are doing the work.
I have split the lesson into centers, the students work on groups and they were moving into
different group after 10 minutes, the first center was they should to find the missing words from
the charts and these words are the keywords of the lesson, the second center student will match
the key words with the pictures, third center they will match the puzzles, and the forth center
which is it the last center they have to read and spill the words.
It was a very flexible lesson student have asking a lot of questions and they really were
interesting about camouflage.

At the end of the lesson I achieve my goal which it was to pronounce the vocabs to the student,
and I reach all the outcomes of the lesson, and my lesson focused go so well the students to
recognize the new words.
Also I was trying to give oral feedbacks to the students, I was moving around and gives the
students positive feedback and encourage the ones who feel they cannot do the work by
themselves.

To be perfect in future I should to develop some skills, my grammar mistakes when I thought the
student, it’s hard to me to fix these errors because this what I have learned since I was child, but
am doing my best to fix it.
