Papaya Monks is an independent Latin fusion music band. Their music mixes Latin
American genres with contemporary rhythms, which creates a new, attractive, and
catchy sound. The band was born in Orlando when four strangers decided to join their
music knowledge to create a band that has a sound that represented their state.

Mike (drums and percussion), Jess (keyboard and synth), Adam (bass), and Anna (lead
singer and guitar) are four musicians born and raised in Florida. All of their life, they
were influenced by the unique lifestyle Florida has to offer. That combination of different
cultures helped grow their curiosity to learn more about the people and music inside the
US and from the nearby countries. They started traveling around different places and
working in local bars to pay their bills.

Anna met Adam one night
when she was performing is an
open mic night at the bar where
Adam worked. They realize
their dreams and expectations
were similar and decided to
start a band.Through friends
and more shows, they met Mike
and Jess. The connection
between the four of them and
their music was instant. And
that was how the magic started. They decided to mix their experiences and skills to
create an acoustic band with original songs as well as covers of popular songs from
Latin America.

Since then. Papaya Monks has performed in different bars, clubs, and small venues
around Florida, especially in Orlando, Miami and Key West. Their sound has attracted a
faithful group of fans called Papays. This group is constantly growing and we are near
to have 10,000 Papays. Their fans are constantly interacting with the band members
through their social media accounts. This is the main channel of communication to
promote new shows and merchandise.
