RTFI Inspector

Job description

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:


1. Review RT reports prior to signature and to ensure that no any correction
and NO BODY overwrites on the
reports.
2. Evaluating the RT results and signing off RT reports.
3. Interpreting RT Films being an approved RTFI from Saudi Armco addition to
Level II certification.
4. Prepare RT reports with films and assessment sheet package for submitting
to OID RTFI for Final
assessment.
5. Providing final assessment reports to NDT Coordinator, QC Supervisor and
Data Entry Operator.
6. Providing details to Data Operator in case any repairs.
7. Keeping the reports into a file.
SECONDARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Complies with the highest level of safety during all stages of work to avoid
any type of incidents and or
accidents. Take reasonable care of own health and safety and that of others in
the workplace.
2. Complies with all statutory requirements connected with the implementation
of project

Required Skills

 Holding Valid Level II RTFI


 Familiarity with ISO-9000 quality control system and related Mechanical
and Welding activities. Possess team leadership
 management and business administration capabilities and with very good negotiation and
communication skills.
NDT technician

Job description

1. Conduct Material Tests using the method of interest

2. Interpret Test Results using the method of interest

Welding Inspector

Job Description:
 1) Inspects and tests welded joints of work in progress and of completed
units for visible defects, correct dimensions, joint strength, bead formation,
weld penetration, and conformance with layout, blueprint, and work order
specifications, applying knowledge of welding principles and metallurgical
properties: Examines joint to detect flaws, such as cracks, cold weld,
spatter, and undercuts, using flashlight and magnifying glass.

 2) Inspects joints for hidden cracks and pits,

 3) Performs stress tests on joint, using stress testing equipment, or


prepares sample for stress testing, and reviews results.

 4) Verifies alignment and dimensions of product and setup of machines and


fixtures used for work in progress.

 5) Observes techniques and performance of welders in shop or at


construction site.

 6) Marks defective pieces and recommends scrapping or methods for


reworking.

 7) Records inspection data.

 8) May weld, test, and inspect metal samples to determine most effective
welding process and technique and be designated Performance-Test
Inspector.
