goes with these pictures. We will not see any of the words but the pictures. I will say the
rhyme two times and point my finger to each picture while saying it. I will pause a few
seconds after saying the words for each picture. You can say the rhyme together with me.
(Teacher say each line of the rhyme while pointing to each picture)
Teacher: Now, I want you to say the rhyme by yourself. Point your finger to the picture while
you are saying the words for it. You can say picture by picture.
(Test-taker say each line of the rhyme while pointing to each picture)
Teacher: Now we will finger point at each word and read each word out loud to the rhyme you
just said. This page has the rhyme written down in printed words. First, listen and watch how I
read it.
Teddy bear, teddy bear, turn around. Teddy bear, teddy bear, touch the ground.
Teddy bear, teddy bear, turn out the light. Teddy bear, teddy bear, say goodnight.
Teacher: Now, let’s read it together. Read it with me as I point to each word. (Teacher and test-

Teacher: This time I want you to do what I did. Point to each word as you say the rhyme. Be
sure to touch each word as your say it.
