Language: SW complete a graphic organizer in writing to retell information that has been
learned from a video.
Assessment Items
Directions: (This assessment will be completed in a whole group setting) Imagine you are a
news reporter who has been assigned to report on the ongoing archaeological work at
Werowocomoco. Listen to the video about archaeologist findings at Werowocomoco. You will
watch the video two times so you can gather the correct information. Use the graphic organizer
to retell three findings based on what you hear in the video. Provide at least 1 complete
sentence for each finding.
News reporters must provide accurate, important information to their listeners. Your work will
be scored based on the accuracy and completeness of the information you provide in the graphic
organizer. Each finding is worth up to 2 points. 6 total possible points. See the rubric below.
