The 3003 Steps to Linabo Peak offers a panoramic view of the twin cities of Dipolog and
Dapitan. It is also the venue for the annual “Katkat Sakripisyo” of Catholic devotees who
perform their penitential rites during the Lenten Season.
Cogon Park - The Cogon Eco-Park is a 344-hectare reforestation area situated in Barangay
Cogon established in 1958. Mature trees are growing wild in the area
Casa Bernedo
a century-old house owned by the Filipino-Spanish Bernedo family, for tourists. Casa Bernedo is
developed as Dipolog's Center for Culture and the Arts and the Dipolog City Tourism Office. The
ground floor serves as a venue for visual arts and photography exhibits.
Save from the major cities of Dipolog and Dapitan, the vastness of Zamboanga del Norte generally
remains a secret. Truth be told, what lies beyond the twin city is greek to most. Unknown to many,

On a serene beach along the Sulu Sea coast, this relaxed resort is 13 km from Gloria's Fantasyland
theme park and 25 km from Dipolog Airport.
ALIGUAY ISLAND
Aliguay is an island in the Philippines, and a barangay of Dapitan City. The island is an established
marine sanctuary. The island is surrounded by white sand beaches and coral reefs. There are no
water sources on the island. A few residents live on Aliguay Island, mostly selling fish to tourists.

people around Zamboanga del Norte knows this cave

Vinta
The vinta is a traditional outrigger boat from the Philippine island of Mindanao. The boats are
made by Sama-Bajau and Tausug peoples living in the Sulu Archipelago, Zamboanga peninsula,
and southern Mindanao. Vinta are characterized by their colorful rectangular lug sails (bukay)
and bifurcated prows and sterns, which resemble the gaping mouth of a crocodile. Vinta are used
as fishing vessels, cargo ships, and houseboats. Smaller undecorated versions of the vinta used
for fishing are known as tondaan.
