1. Co-Living- It is a form of housing which combines private living spaces with shared
communal facilities for a fixed nominal rent aiming to promote social engagement
between residents. The model has an appeal to younger generations who move to other
cities for work/education and do not want/ cannot afford long term leases. The buildings
also have an aesthetic appeal along with being situated in prime locations.
3.1. The living spaces have an option of single/double/triple sharing rooms to choose
from. The rent includes utilities such as TV, housekeeping, Wi-Fi, cable charges,
common kitchen, laundry spaces and other amenities.
3.2. Community focused social events are organised such as yoga, story-telling events,
movie/sports screening, etc.
3.3. A general lock-in-period of 2-6 months plus a refundable security deposit worth 2-3
months’ rent.
3.4. An online application/website is created where registering of complaints, paying
bills, scheduling housekeeping services, etc. can be made.
3.5. Security measures such as biometric scans and facial recognition are also present.
4.1. The owner/operator of the space provides a work environment and, usually, office
equipment and amenities found in a typical office such as 24/7 access, reservable
conference rooms, Wi-Fi, communal printers/copiers/fax machines, communal
bathrooms, phone service, lounges, food courts, AV equipment etc. The rent
generally includes water, air conditioning, electricity, internet and a few perks but
depends on organisation to organisation. Other facilities such as printing, access to
conference rooms, phone service, etc. incur additional charges
4.2. Community events are also organised.
4.3. Spaces available include access to shared areas, private desks, entire floors to
customised buildings.
4.4. Renting options include daily, single-visit, monthly or yearly.
