    INTRODUCTION:

    Summer Olympic Games is a major international multi-sport event held once


    every four years. Philippines first competed here in 1924 in Paris, making it the first
    country to compete and later in 1928, won a medal in Southeast Asia. The nation has
    competed at every Summer Olympic Games since then. Filipino athletes have won a
    total of 10 Olympic medals with boxing as the top medal-producing sport. No Filipino
    athlete has ever won a gold medal, making the Philippines the country that has won
    the 2nd most medals without winning gold behind Malaysia with 11 medals.

    OBJECTIVES:

    Cognitive: To understand what is an Olympic Game and its history; how Philippines
    started to participate on the said event as well as to know those persons/ athletes
    who have given honor and pride to the country through sports.

    Affective: To appreciate the efforts given by those athletes, organizations and


    producers in order to represent well the Philippines, show their expertise as a
    Filipino and give Philippines a mark in terms of sports.
