Dura-Grip® Screen

The Dura-Grip Screen from Weatherford is a technologically

advanced version of a pipe-based screen. This screen is
manufactured from precision-formed profile wire that is
wrapped and welded to the longitudinal rods at each contact
point. The welding process “shrink fits” the screen to the pipe so
that it grips the pipe tightly along its entire length. The inwardly
widening openings ensure non-clogging, self cleaning, and free
flow of materials. The continuous slot provides maximum open
area to reduce entrance velocity and improve hydraulic
efficiency

Applications
• Cased-hole and open-hole gravel packed completions
with reduced pump rates and pressures
• Open-hole stand-alone completions in well sorted
homogeneous reservoirs
• Thermal wells/steam injection
• Any application requiring low draw down pressures

Micro-Pak® Screen

Difficult conditions such as highly deviated wellbores or long

perforated intervals make gravel packing problematic. The
versatility for Micro-Pak® provides security against voids in the
gravel pack in addition to aiding the placement of gravel into
the formation. Construction consists of an inner Dura-Grip®
Screen with an outer screen jacket. The annular space
between the screens is packed with re-sieved sand or
proppant in our industrial vibrating system to ensure proper
compactness. Weatherford’s exclusive curing process
provides a uniform cure cycle when resin coated media is
specified as the pack material

Applications
• High-rate water pack completions
• Frac-Pac completions
• Any conditions requiring a reduced OD pre-packed
screen

Stratapac® / Stratacoil™ Screen

Stratapac® and Stratacoil™ Screens are engineered from the

inside out for better flow distribution and maximum damage
tolerance. These sand-control screens are made to take the
punishment of installation through the tightest turns in
horizontal and multilateral wells and then provide long-
lasting, reliable sand control. The Stratapac® Screen is for
primary sand-control installations, and the Stratacoil™ Screen
is used in through-tubing applications.

Applications
• Horizontal wells
• High-pressure/high-temperature wells
• Short-radius, sidetracks, and multilateral completions
• High rate gravel pack cased and open hole
completions
• Through-tubing completions

Stratapac® / Stratacoil™ Screen

Features Benefits
• Independent multi- • High damage tolerance
layered construction with multiple barriers to
prevent sand flow
• High pore volume
• Low draw down and long
• Customized end rings service life
• All-welded construction • Maintains sand retention
• Large base pipe ID for even after deformation
product OD • Provides reduced friction
• Light weight loss in high volume wells
• Retains a wide range of
moderate to poorly
sorted sands

Excelflo™ Screen

Excelflo™ screens are designed for optimum flow distribution

and maximum damage tolerance. These sand-control screens
can be run through the tightest turns in horizontal and
multilateral wells and then provide long-lasting, reliable sand
control. Excelflo™ provides effective sand control of very fine
sand in moderately non-uniform reservoirs.

Applications
• Stand-alone screens in open-hole completions
• High-pressure/high-temperature wells
• Short radius, sidetracks and multilateral completions
• High rate gravel pack cased- and open-hole
completions

Features Benefits
• Sintered Laminate (SL) • Multiple selections of
media of multi-layered fixed pore size SL media
construction provide effective sand
control
• Exclusive drainage
support with high flow • Welded SL media
area provides optimal burst
and collapse resistance
• Damage tolerant design
• Drainage layer minimizes
• Wide range of media rate of pressure build-up
with fixed pore sizes
• Resists damage to SL
media in short radius or
side track applications
