City of El Segundo
Recreation Leader II August 2013 – Present El Segundo, CA

 Staff lead at city-wide events: 4th of July Celebration, Hometown Fair, and Halloween Frolic.
 Assist with planning and coordinating Coed Youth Basketball League including distribution of information, registration of
participants, ordering of uniforms, practice and game scheduling.
 Coach of Coed Youth Basketball - managing and coaching two teams at once, ages ranging from second to fifth grade.
 Work closely with Recreation Specialists and Recreation Coordinators to carry out the directives and various functions within
Camps, the Teen Center, the Plunge, and Special Event program areas.
 Organize and implement the El Segundo REACT Golf Tournament Fundraiser. Finding title, gold, silver, and bronze sponsors to
support funding of the Teen Center.
 Train, mentor, and discipline subordinate staff at Spring Break and Summer camps of 30 plus part-time staff members.
