Introduction/Background

In this Marketing Plan the proponents will show how promotional campaign can be done
through television advertisement and what will be the process of putting an advertisement
through television and how much will be the cost for promoting a product through television
advertisement. In this plan, the proponents will determine a lot of possible ways in order for
the target market to be aware about the business’ products and services. This marketing plan is
made for the business called “Karate Kid”.
KARATEKID (TERIYAKI.TEPPANYAKI.BURGER.PASTA), is the country’s first Japanese fusion quick
service restaurant started in 4th level of Robinsons Place Manila in September of 2002.
KARATEKID offers a wide variety of great tasting dishes such as Beef Teriyaki, Chicken Katsudon,
Pork Tonkatsu, Beef Gyudon, Sizzling Teppanyaki, Super Chop, Maki, Sushi, Sashimi, Ramen
Noodles and more at very affordable prices.
The name Karate Kid (KK) was inspired by the Japanese Anime Cartoons thus, making it
appealing to the young professionals, kids and young families. It is the first quick service
restaurant that offers “Rice All You Can” and Bottomless Kido Punch Tea, Karate Kid’s signature
drink. Serving the B and C market, Karate Kid already has a following of satisfied customers
searching for an array of Japanese dishes that truly satisfy the appetite.

The medium chosen for the promotional campaign is through television in order to
reach a lot of audience. The TV commercial will showcase the product’s information like the
price, texture, weight, odor and as well as the different flavors available. The proponents are
aware about what will be the expense and how much will be the total cost to promote the
product.
In this TV commercial the proponents will film a commercial in the Karate Kid restaurant and in
the film, it will show about the product’s different flavors, prices, and drinks. The proponents
will also have an actor/actress to present and promote the product.
