Bhagavad-Gita is the solution for Global problems

If we take all the confirmed knowledge of the world, it is called Veda. One can understand
the verified & distilled knowledge of this world and worlds unknown to us by experimental
knowledge or by receiving the Vedic knowledge in an ancient tradition.

Experimental knowledge may take time, money & energy to reach the facts or Truths of life
existence. But, it is easy to know all the secrets of life if we approach a bonafide Vedic
Sampradaya or Parampara.

While experimental knowledge keeps improving and finetuning its theories or knowledge,
Vedic knowledge remains firmly fixed despite the passing of millenniums.

Experimental knowledge or scientific knowledge found some truths of this world,

particularly in the field of improving the comforts for the body. For example, we found
mobiles, airplanes, vehicles, etc. to strengthen our pleasures in the areas of communication &
transport.

While, indeed, these discoveries are laudable, the world has many different kinds of global
issues: Environmental issues, pollution, lack of nutrition, climate change, etc.

But, scientists admit that they do not have a solution for the root cause of all these global
issues. One well-known scientist says as below:
All the global problems that we face today are because of selfishness, greed, apathy, anger,
etc. But, as of now, no scientist could find solutions to these life problems.

While scientific knowledge improved our comforts, made more & more gadgets, manipulated
material nature to our advantage, the domain of progress remained limited to matter. Where
is the development in the field of life? Where are the solutions for life’s issues of lack of
satisfaction, extreme selfishness, greed, anger, pride, etc.?

Bhagavad-Gita is the highest science of life that addresses these forces of mind, namely lust
(selfish enjoyment), greed, anger, etc. Bhagavad-Gita frankly informs the humanity that these
three degrades a person:

BG 16.21
tri-vidhaṁ narakasyedaṁ
dvāraṁ nāśanam ātmanaḥ
kāmaḥ krodhas tathā lobhas
tasmād etat trayaṁ tyajet
TRANSLATION
There are three gates leading to this hell-lust, anger, and greed. Every sane man should give
these up, for they lead to the degradation of the Soul.

Bhagavad-Gita explains about life or Soul elaborately. It describes how a person/soul

degrades and also gives excellent instructions as to how a person can take steps to not
deteriorate or entangle in this world.

We all know that life is superior to matter. A scientist, a living being, is superior to matter.
Hence, he can discover many beautiful things from matter. Bhagavad-Gita brings in the clear
distinction between matter & spirit soul. It emphatically declares that we are not the matter
but spirit souls. We (spirit souls) are much superior to our material body but stuck inside the
body.

If a soul or the real person degrades, then the scientific discoveries/theories will be used to
degrade the world also. And create global issues like climate change, pollution, etc.

Under the current global situation of pollution, hunger, lack of nutrition, an increase of
diseases, lack of satisfaction in all spheres of life, lack of peace, the world should seriously
look at Bhagavad-Gita for solutions.

By controlling these base tendencies like greed, anger, uncontrolled lust, Bhagavad-Gita can
help people find satisfaction, peace & happiness. If a person is greedy, even if he gets the
whole world under his control, he will remain unsatisfied. But, if one knows the technique of
being satisfied, then he can be happy by running a rickshaw also. We can see a whole family
happily pushing a thela (a pushcart).

The secret of satisfaction is to know that a person is not a product of matter or this world.
Bhagavad-Gita explains the real nature of all of us. We are all spirit souls who came from the
spiritual world to this world as travelers and lost our way. Bhagavad-Gita explains the
science of advancing the Soul and not to get degraded by forces like greed, anger, etc.
Imagine all people of the world are satisfied with whatever is available to them easily. The
whole world will be happy. No one will break any of the laws of God or nature because of
lust, greed, or anger. Imagine everyone helps others, shows sympathy, does charity, etc.! The
world will not be a place of miseries!

Let us start reading Bhagavad-Gita from this auspicious day of Gita Jayanthi, the appearance
of Bhagavad-Gita. Let us keep aside all doubts, illusions, and inhibitions about reading
Bhagavad-Gita. Let us keep aside the forces that are stopping us from creating a peaceful
world by reading Bhagavad-Gita regularly. May Lord bless us all with the strength and power
to understand His instructions in the form of Bhagavad-Gita. Om Sat Tat.
