How can Saphir help you in applied reservoir engineering?

Mention what parameters

.that Saphir can give

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Saphir NL
is the industry standard PTA (Pressure Transient Test) software. Pressure Transient
Analysis, in most cases, is about analyzing high-frequency shut-in data. The data are
captured during dedicated well test operations such as Pressure Buildup Test,
Drawdown Test, Injection Test, etc. The pressure response from these shut -ins can
be used to provide information about the reservoir within the radius of investigation
.for radial flow or the area of investigation for more complex geometries

:Saphir can determine several parameters, such as

Skin Factor -1

Reservoir Diameter for radial flow -2

Reservoir Area of investigation for complex geometries -3

Reservoir Pressure -4

Relative Permeability -5

Fluid Behavior -6

PROSPER APPLICATION
Design and optimize well completions including multi-lateral, multilayer and •
horizontal wells

Allocate production between wells •

MBAL
MBAL inputs (three parts)

-1 ''' System input

.a Reservoir fluid (oil gas condensate)

.b Tank model (single tank –multiple)

.c PVT model (simple-variable)

.d Production history (by tank –by well)

.e Compositional modeling

-2 PVT

.a Formation GOR at Pb

.b Oil API

.c Gas gravity

.d Water salinity

.e Mole percent of H2s N2 CO2

This data is matched with all other PVT lab data to select best correlation with least
standard deviation

PVT lab Data like: temperature bubble point pressure

Several pressures and corresponding oil and gas formation volume factors, oil and
gas viscosity

-3 ""Tank (reservoir) input data

.a Type of reservoir

.b Name for reservoir

.c Temperature

.d Initial pressure

.e Porosity
.f Connate water saturation

.g Water compressibility

.h Initial gas cap

.i original oil in place

.j Start of production

.k Water influx model

.l Rock compressibility and compaction

.m Relative permeability

-4 Actual production history (date pressure cumulative oil and gas produced )

MBAL outputs

-1 Calculate original oil in place

-2 Drive tank model to determine oil water contact and reservoir drive
mechanism

-3 Future production prediction

-4 Calculate original oil in place and initial gas cap

-5 Determine aquifer model

History matching parameters

Parameters which we change and make regression about depends on aquifer model,
e.g. Hurst Van modified model

Parameters

-1 Reservoir thickness

-2 Reservoir radius

-3 Encroachment angle

-4 Inner/outer radius ratio

-5 Aquifer permeability

Other parameters in other models

-1 Original oil in place

-2 Porosity

-3 Aquifer volume and constant

-4 Reservoir width

:Petrel
Petrel is one of the largest Softwares of E&P platform in Schlumberger, It is calling
.for Integration the data lest it should be dispersed or lose it's authenticity

it has many disciplines, Seismic Interpretation, Production, Drilling....etc. But the

main Idea of the Software is Simulation the Reservoir to Put the whole idea of the
discrete data in a Visualized Model, Then Engineering Wise, you Can Develop as
.your case requires

.Data ⤞Model ⤞) Engineer ) → Increase Efficiency and Save Time ⤞Optimization

,Within The Drilling Scope

As now you have a Visualized model of how the Reservoir Looks like, Now you Can
Precisely Choose the Best Coordinates for the Well to enhance Production with the
.Optimum Required Specification

Open Source Software (OSS)

is distributed under a licensing agreement which allows computer code to be shared,
.viewed and modified by other users and organizations

In other words, open source software is available for the general public to use and
modify from its original design free of charge. What it means is that a piece of
software can evolve and be iterated upon by other developers anywhere in the world.
.Ideally, this means that the software is improved over time
Closed Source Software (CSS): the source code is not shared with the public for
.anyone to look at or change
