How Does Emulsified Fuel Work?
• Water micro-explosions increase the surface area of fuel to
be burned (Secondary Atomization)
• Contact surface between fuel and air is increased
• Combustion is more efficient

Consumption Data
Early results indicate a significant fuel savings. Further sea trials are in
progress.

The following comments were recorded after approximately 2 months use of


the emulsifier unit on a Ro-Ro Vessel:

"We have now inspected and cleaned the exhaust side of the economizer. The
amount of carbon deposits are dramatically reduced since we started using
the emulsifier with around 8-15% water".

"We have also inspected the pistons and cylinder liners.


The piston rings are looking cleaner and in better shape with the emulsifier
than without the emulsifier. The condition of cylinder liners has also improved
after we started with the emulsifier. The "black spots" on some of the cylinder
liner surfaces has disappeared and the surfaces have improved."
