Theoretical Framework

2.1 Introduction

This chapter discusses the theories methodology and concepts that aids the

development of the Agenda “A Mobile Time Keeping Record and Scheduling of crew for

Jollibee Foods Corporation. with RFID (168 Food Court Lvl.3 Branch)”. The proponents

studied and put altogether the different phases of spiral model and the said concepts of

TPS Development that is used in developing the scheduling system. The theoretical

framework of this project entitled A Mobile Time Keeping Record and Scheduling of

crew for Jollibee Foods Corporation. with RFID (168 Food Court Lvl.3 Branch)”. will

explain the process involved in making the application for manager and crew of Jollibee

168 food court. The process that will be highlighted in this chapter is the gathering of

different information in order to determine the different problems encountered for many

years. In Jollibee 169 Mall food court, the proponents created this application, so the

manager can handle a schedule and monitor the schedule of crew in the application.

2.2 Methodology

 The spiral model has four phases: Planning, Risk Analysis, Engineering and

Evaluation. A software project repeatedly passes through these phases in iterations

(called Spirals in this model). The baseline spirals, starting in the planning phase,

requirements are gathered and risk is assessed.

2.2.1 Planning Phase: Requirements are gathered during the planning

phase. Requirements like System Requirement Specifications.

2.2.2 Risk Analysis: A process to identify the risk and the alternate

solutions about the problem. A prototype is produced at the end of the risk

analysis phase. If any risk is found during the risk analysis then the

alternate solutions are implemented.

2.2.3 Engineering Phase: In this phase the software is developed along

with the testing at the end of the phase. Also, in this phase the

development and testing is done.

2.2.4 Evaluation The proponents were always able to meet the deadline of

the adviser and coordinator. The proponents also passed all things

assigned to them. This phase allows the user to evaluate the output of the

project up-to-date and provide a feedback and approval before the project

continue to the next spiral.

2.3.1 Software

2.3.1.1 Android Studio 3.0.1

The proponents choose Android Studio as Programming

Language for the proposed application. The proponents are

convinced to choose the said Programming Language because it’s

the most and latest tool to develop android application.

2.3.2 Hardware

2.3.2.1 RFID

RFID uses electromagnetic fields to automatically identify

and track tags attached to objects. The tags contain electronically-

stored information. Passive tags collect energy from a nearby

RFID reader's interrogating radio waves. RFID is one method for

Automatic Identification and Data Capture (AIDC). RFID tags can

be attached to cash, clothing, and possessions, or implanted in

animals and people, the possibility of reading personally-linked

information without consent has raised serious privacy concerns.

2.4 Summary

Applying these theories, the developers were able to create a Scheduling

System for Jollibee Foods Corporation for (168 Food Court Lvl.3 Branch) The theories

above will be guide for the developers to follow particularly the concepts of a Scheduling

System.
