INTRODUCTION

Teaching has transformed from a simple educational function into a complex profession.

It is not about teaching only the content, but also teaching the students the content. The ability of

a teacher who communicates effectively with students to understand the purpose and objectives

of the lesson is one of the main responsibilities of a teacher. Using methods helps any student

learn knowledge and skill

The responsibility of a teacher to their student is to understand the purpose and objective

of the lesson. Teaching methods helps students to learn the knowledge and skill. There are

different types of teaching methods which can be categorized into two broad types; traditional

and contemporary teaching methods. Traditional method of teaching is when a teacher directs

students to learn through memorization and recitation techniques thereby not developing their

critical thinking problem solving and decision making skills (Sunal et al 1994). On the other

hand, modern contemporary teaching method has something to do with the technology and

internet resources. In this type of teaching method, the teacher uses PowerPoint presentations,

videos and visual pictures in presenting their lessons to the students.

Learning can be taught in different angles. The only difference is how the facilitator or

the teacher itself delivers the lesson. Delivering a lesson may be one of the hardest things to do

for a teacher. Students are the focal point of the teaching process. How the teacher present a

certain method within the class may reflect on the student’s emotions and their satisfaction with

the teaching. With the teacher’s effective teaching method, this will help the student to learn and

do their very best.

1.1 age;

1.2 gender; and

1.3 grade level

2. What kind of modern contemporary teaching method does the teachers of

Indang Christian Academy uses?

3. What is the effect of modern contemporary teaching method to the

student’s satisfaction?

4. What is the academic performance of the respondents?

Objectives of the Study

methods and student’s satisfaction.

H2: There is no significant relationship between the student’s satisfaction and academic

performance.
