PRINCIPLE 3: ACCOUNTABILITY FOR CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT

PROJECT DRIVE (Developing Resources Including Verification and

Empowerment)

Resources refer to people, equipment, facilities, funding and anything needed to

complete an activity or task. Adequate resources are considered one of the essential
conditions necessary for learning to be effective and successful. Without adequate
resources to support professional learning, educators will not have the support
necessary for continuous improvement and empowerment. Therefore we can say that
without resources, no activity will be possible. Similarly, the school and the resources
that it has are connected- as we improve the resources, we improve the school; as we
vitiate them, we nonetheless stop the progress of the school. With this belief, the school
with the leadership and guidance of the administration perseveres and drives
stakeholders to hand in hand develop efficient resources.

Internal and External Stakeholders

As the school community or stakeholders continuously invested their interest or

concern in a form of time, effort, financial, intellectual, and moral support including
implicit sustainability like security for the welfare and success of a school and its
students. Typically, Santiago National High School is consciously winning the hearts of
these collective entities. As a matter of fact, evidence will show that various
organizations and institutions give out their participation to make sure this school attains
their vision and mission effectively.

Project DRIVE (Developing Resources Including Verification and Empowerment)

is one of the advocacies of the school to ensure development among the resources--
increasing its efficiency and accountability towards reaching proper management and
administration via implementing the core objectives of the Department of Education
which is achieving quality education.
The project came up with the following programs:

 Project RRR ( Rehabilitation and Regimen for Reading)

The school created group of teachers who voluntarily pledge their free time
extending help to struggling readers to attain gradual improvement towards
word recognition and comprehension. The teachers involved in this program,
has been encouraged to attend seminars initiated by private sectors in
reading community.

 Project IGuard (Inside Guard)

The officers of the General PTA offered their extra time maintaining peace
and order inside and outside the school premises.

 Project FACES (Festival for Academic and Co-curricular E-learning)

Different subject areas held Festival of Talents to accommodate learning
alternative for students which enhanced the four macro skills and acting skills.

 4P’s (Pagsuri, Pagbasa, Panonood at Pagsulat)

The program aims to develop the critical minds of the students by exposing
them to reading and viewing activities. The program has been done for
several years.

 SAGIP (Seeking Accessibility to Govern Immediate Projects)

Santiago National High School prefers to beat the ongoing crisis of
educational status. This negligible problem is nothing but to inform the
attention of qualified institutions resolving immediately this pressing concern
about classroom shortages to benefit students to continue hoping to their one
and only dream…finishing their high school life.

With the implementation of these projects, the school along with its stakeholders
(internal and external) continuously reach the goal of the project DRIVE.
