Final Project

Over the past approximately four months, I have learned a tremendous amount about

differing technologies. However, I struggled with a few areas. When I look back at my module

reflections, each and every single one will say that I needed to prioritize more time. During this

semester, I was always trying to get everything I could down as fast as I could but that did not

really work out. I recently got a job and it has been taking up large portions of my time.

However, I always manage to somehow cram out the project and finish every detail to my liking.

Normally, in order to solve my time management issue I would just stay up all night until it was

done. This would give me hours of pure homework time. On some occasions, I would fall asleep

and this would give me very little time to revise and edit my final product. I feel as if I still need to

work more on balancing school, a job, social life, and my family better. Recently, I have been

skipping opportunities to hang out with my family or friends in order to get my modules done.

This has lead me to start managing my time better and getting quality work done faster. I never

want to miss out on the chance to see my family grow up and being able to manage school was

one of the things I needed to learn. It was not really a shock to me how bad I was managing my

time because I was always the one who said yes to plans and put school to this side. I needed

to get my work done without having to sacrifice life.

I have always been looking around at new technologies and the equipment that

companies were produced. This was my way of staying in the know that way when I became a

teacher I could better correlate how and what I wanted in my classroom. I started at a young

age getting into classrooms and teaching so I already have some knowledge about this general
area. However, over this class we did not just look at classroom technologies. We would look at

every form of technology and evaluate how it could fit into our class. I believe that from the

beginning of the semester to now, I have learned a whole new side to what classroom

technology could really be. I knew so much already and this class added to it. I believe that after

this class I feel very strong about incorporating technology into my classroom as an added

measure of learning. Students will be able to see the wide range of things the technology field

has to offer and could even inspire them to join it one day. I strongly believe in technology

incorporated into the learning community.

If I were to take an assignment from the beginning of this course and one from now, the

biggest difference would be the effort I put into it. In the beginning I kind of just rushed

everything and now I actually sit down and give each module complete thoughts. I still need to

improve with my time management but I have serious grown leaps and bounds from where we

started. I believe that the quality of work I could put out if this course were to continue. I know

the requirements and everything that the class entails and I could start putting even more effort

and thought into each module. This class really showed me how to manage large course work

and quality outcomes. If I were to complete an assignment from this class again, I would redo

the entire first half of class due to the fact that there could be so much more quality added to it.

One thing I would take from my other classmates is their thought processes. Normally I

go through about five to seven ideas and projects before I finally come to my conclusion. I

believe that this also hinders my time as well. I would have been able to get a lot more work

done faster if I were to have a plan earlier on in the assignment process. I struggle with my

indecisiveness in every single class and it has brought up many roadblocks in time

management.
 One goal I would like to set for myself would be to manage life better. I need to learn so

many different ways to handle holding a job and school while also trying to keep my friends and

family happy. This has been my biggest struggle but I think that if I were to finally get a grip on it

I could achieve so many great things.
