Activity Before using the app the teacher will be reading a
new story to the children. After the climatic point
of the story the teacher will stop reading and
explain directions for the assignment. Students will
be using Storybird to predict and create what they
think the ending of the story will be like. Students
should keep the characters names the same, but
can create the character however they want in
their ending. They can also use many different
colors and elements to make their story ending
creative. Teacher should go over the entire app
with the students and make an example with them,
once the teacher is 100% confident that the

ahead and let them do so, while walking around
the classroom monitoring.

comprehension of fictional text and poetry.
l) Differentiate between fiction and nonfiction.
For this assignment the teacher will be making a 4
Padlets filled with pictures & titles and elements of
non-fiction and fiction stories. Once they are all
made students will be put into groups of 3-4 to
collaborate amongst each other. Students will go
online to Padlet, log in, and go to the shared Padlet
that their teacher made. Students will then
collaborate and work together to differentiate
between the non-fiction and fiction story elements.
Students should leave comments in the boxes
saying if they think it is non-fiction or fiction. Once
they are finished will one Padlet they may move on
to another Padlet that their teacher created and
shared with them.
