A. Oral Language Activity
1. You have learned the steps on how to make a stand based on informed opinion in the previous lesson. With
this in mind, express your stand based on the informed opinion of the following issues. Do this with a
partner whom you have not been paired up yet.

Group 1: E- books over textbooks
Group 2: Same grouping for all subjects
Group 3: Change of seating arrangements every semester/quarter
Group 4: No to lockers
Group 5: No assignment policy
2. Each pair will be given 5 minutes to prepare and perform the activity.

B. Pre-Listening
1. Students have learned that propaganda makes use of a collection of devices and tricks intended to influence
your thinking. Using a concept map, students will provide a brief recall on propaganda devices.

C. During Listening
1. For this activity, an incentive chart will be used for pointing system. 5 points will be given to the group
with correct and sure answer and 2 points will be given if the answer is correct but with unsure response.
2. Students will be asked to write their answers in two (2) forms. On the upper portion, students will write the
types of propaganda and on the lower portion of the board, students will write of they are “sure” or
“unsure”.
3. The teacher will ask each group to prepare their whiteboard and marker. To ensure maximum participation,
each member of the group will be assigned with a number.
4. The teacher will read more advertisements. Detect the propaganda device used in each advertisement.

Note: The following words will be read by the teacher

D. Post Listening
1. Engagement Activities
a. Set standards for pupils to follow so that the group tasks will be done efficiently within the given time.
b. The teacher will group the class into 5 groups.
c. Each group will be given a specific task to do using clear and specific instruction.
d. Each group will receive an activity card for them to accomplish and to report it on the class after 10
minutes.

Note: Activity Card should be printed in colored to ensure clarity of the materials.
