• Created “Ornish Friendly Eating Out Guide” by analyzing chain restaurant menu nutrition information to
determine meal options for program participants that enabled them to have self-efficacy while dining out.
• Redesigned product list to follow the Ornish diet by visiting chain grocery stores and analyzing frozen and
packaged foods for macronutrient content to reduce burden and mitigate challenges for program participants.
• Devised two-week eating plan of foods available on Amazon by identifying products that adhere to the
medically prescribed diet and arranging them in order to follow appropriate macronutrient ratios.
• Drafted nutrition communication materials and a digital cookbook for program participant training by
reviewing and revising recipes intended for food service and for program participants.
• Educated participants about their medically prescribed diet and cooked for participant groups by assisting at
Food Service Training and Open House events at Ornish Program site at Penrose-St. Francis Health.
• Evaluated the literature on nutrition topics and communicated results for Ornish Living online magazine.
