RE: IMPORTANT INFORMATION & DATES FOR EXAMS & CLINICALS

Congratulations to all our September 2018 Trainees

You have covered a number of milestones over the last 3 terms.
Please be informed of the following important dates and information for the upcoming exam period & working
experience program

EXAM
The following exam activities are organized by dates, please be guided accordingly:

DATE EXAM SPECIAL NOTES

June 17th BUS. Administration (MGMT) IV This exam will only have contents you started in
9am-12 pm April 2019

June 10th-11th Revision Sessions Your instructor will confirm with the exact times
10am-12 pm for these sessions

Previous End of Term Exams will be reviewed in

these sessions
June 14th & 15th NCTVET FINAL THEORY EXAM If you miss this exam, you will NOT get an
9am-12pm opportunity to redo it BEFORE FEB, 2020

July 24th Final Project Due for Submission to The final project is part of your practical
NCTVET assignment grade. Students who fail to submit
cannot be certified and will not be eligible for
graduation
There is also a penalty fee of $5,000.00 for
late submission up to two weeks after the
deadline & $10,000.00 up to 4 weeks of the
deadline.
Project submitted after 4 weeks following
the due date, will not be accepted. You will
then be required to resit the practical
component on the exam.

July 31st FINAL PORTFOLION DEFFENCE This is a tentative date a may be changed by the
(External Verification) exam body. You will be updated once the exact
dates are confirmed.

WORK EXPERIENCE/INTERNSHIP

 The Work Experience programme is scheduled to run from July 1st-August 23rd.

 ALL TRAINEES will be required to attend the following Internship Induction Workshop
o Friday, June 21st: Mandeville Campus, 9AM
You will receive your internship/work experience package on this day.
 Please speak directly to Mr. E. Pryce, Business Administration Instructor/Ms. K. Morgan,

 You may be admitted at any of the following sites between 3-4 weeks to complete your internship:
 Business Development Corporation
 Jamaica Public Service
  National Water Commission
SEMINARS/WORKSHOPS
 We will also be hosting a few other workshops/seminars. Please keep checking the notice boards for
these dates.
 You will be required to attend a mock interview before graduation. This is scheduled for July 22nd -
26th. You will receive an appointment for your interview.

TUITION PAYMENT
All trainees are required to settle their school account by June 10th.

Students with balances will not be given exam pass for exams that follow, neither will they be given
packages/placement for work internship.

GRADUATION CEREMONY
Graduation is confirmed for Thursday, August 8 @ 3:00 pm at the Golfview Hotel. Application
forms & further details will be provided soon.
Package Fee: $12,500.00

Payment 1: $6,5oo.00
Payment 2: $6,000.00

Photo Taking: July 22nd-August 2nd

Here is a quick checklist to meet the matriculation for graduation.

All students are required to:

 Successfully complete all course assignments and all exams administered for the 3 terms
 Have sat the NCTVET Theory exam
 Have received FINANCIAL CLEARANCE
 Have completed at least 2 weeks of work internship
 Have completed 20 hrs of community voluntary programme
 Have submitted final portfolio

RESIT PERIOD: There will be a final resit period for students who do not have good
academic standing. This period is June 20th-24th.

These students will not be able to start working experience until they have taken these resit
exams.

N.B: ALL RENTAL TEXTBOOKS SHOULD BE RETURNED ON JUNE 12th
