3 I send you information about each one of us

We choose the name of Malandro because of its meaning. Malandro is a person of bohemian
and spicy life. We have been playing together for more than 10 years with different
formations. Our secret? We are very good friends with a passion in common: Music.

We would like to know a little more about Serbian traditions, specially the cooking (I love to
taste new things, specially traditional food, also about your history.

Gorka Hermosa

Gorka Hermosa is one of the most played accordion composers today. He was awarded with
the prize “CIA IMC-UNESCO Accordion Composition” in 2013 and 2014 and the price to the
best work for accordion of the year by the CMA in 2016 and 2018. His works for accordion and
orchestra has been premiered in Europe, Asia and America. He has given concerts in China,
Iran, South America and all around Europe. He has published seven own CDs and four books
about the accordion history.

Javier Mayor

Salamanca bassist and bass guitarist ,Javier began playing the electric bass by taking lessons
from Victor Merlo in the "School of Creative Music" in Madrid where he also studied combo,
harmony, auditory education, etc. Later he studied the bass at the Conservatory of Salamanca,
finish his undergraduate studies. After he studied the Degree at the Conservatory of the
Basque Country (Musikene) with teachers like, Gonzalo Tejada, Joaquin Chacon, Bob Sands,
Iñaki Salvador Guillermo Klein, Kris Case, Miguel Blanco, Andrei Oleknizak, Mariano Diaz, Joan
Diaz, Albert Sanz, Victor Merlo, Victor de Diego, etc. He completed his studies in 2008. He has
also studied one year in Havana with the prestigious bassist and group Irakere bassist Carlos
del Puerto, taking classes in jazz and latin jazz, Cuban, etc. As a student he has attended two
courses of Baroque Music with the prestigious Maggie Urquhart bass.

Currently he shares projects with Iñaki Salvador, Mikel Andueza, Bob Sands, Jerome Martin,
Ruben Salvador, Miguel Salvador etc ..., also he has been a a bass teacher since 2007 at the
Conservatory of Torrelavega.

Alberto Vaquero
I am a trumpet teacher at the "Jesus de Monasterio" professional conservatory in Santander. I
have performed in classical orchestras of the national level, such as the National Orchestra,
Madrid Symphony, Castilla y León Symphony, Bilbao Symphony or Euskadi Symphony among
others. I have recorded for artists such as Jorge Pardo, Iñaki Salvador, Dako Dejavu, Chebú. I
have also created more personal projects such as Alium Duo, Malandro Club, Dwaal, ENSEIC,
Santander Big Band, or Kokorotta Dixie Band.

I have shared stage with artists such as Ainhoa Arteta, Mstislav Rostropovic, María João Pires,
Ivan Martín, Lucas Macías or Andras Schiff among others.

Alberto Vaquero

With 8 years I started playing the trumpet. Since then I have not separated from her. In
addition to music, I really like sports and animals. I am very grateful to the world for everything
it gives me.

I love to travel, and if it is with friends better. I love my family and I love life. Every day I learn
from my students, my students are my teachers, especially the youngest ones.

Javier Mayor

In addition to music, the bicycle is my passion. I love to go out with my bicycle and feel the
fresh air of Cantabria. I really like going out with friends and meeting new people.

Gorka Hermosa

Since I was little, I traveled with my accordion all over the world. On top of that, I love the
beach and the city where I live. A walk can be very comforting.
