Speaker: Mr. Shasto Ho, CEO of Nextlink Technology

 Mr. Shasto Said that 90% of business totally fail in the first year, 90% close in five years, and only 1%
will sustained over five years
 His entrepreneur dream was inspired from his own story where he was working with her boss and
accompanied her to shop for Channel brand. His boss told him that someday you will buy this stuff.
Therefore he was inspired by that and he chooses to let his dream come true.
 It is important to know the definition of your dream.
 In 2006-2007, Mr. Shasto was very successful. But this successful lead him to become greedy, he
started to investing in different new business and he thought everything was reachable. Until in 2011-
2014 he face difficulties, where he burn over 3 million US dollar and the valuation drop.
 He faced different life cycle as the entrepreneur form zero, to okay, face hell, and now happy ending.
 To establish a new company we need first, initial resource such as staff or partner who wants to follow
your vision and who want to align with your dream, and second is the money.
 Thought now, Mr Shasto is very successful entrepreneur, He himself during the speech said that he
was stupid entrepreneur because he start his dream with greed or fame to get money and get more
investment for shareholder. The thing that he highlights that the first intention is important because if
you start with greed you will get hurt.
 When he was in the low point in his entrepreneur journey, Mr. Shasto tried to read so many books. In
his office, he would locked his door and read book. He was crazy reading during that time. From his
reading, he found that he was fundamentally changed either in leadership, confident or vision. In his
speech he also share several recommendation of the good book which he read before, such as QBQ
(question before question) by john g. miller, principles by ray dalio, and etc.
 When you have the dream and you are passionate to that, you have to share or speak it out loud.
The stronger you speak, they will support you because they might go to same way, just like when you
climb the mountain and you need food while you are climbing, there will be someone on the way who
will give support to you.
 Lead of error or risk, painful or regret of stupid thing is very important to give experience (skin of the
game)
 Value learned: (1) first intention is really important for your dream, (2) if you want to start a company,
it’s very important to consider the right timing, like when you take train if too early you have to wait
for it, if you late you will miss it. (3) emotion, ego and illusion, when you are becoming a boss you
need to take down your ego and start to listen to others opinion or advice (4) in this word you cannot
be alone, you need to find your partner (5) focus on core.
 Leadership is from you, nothing about position or title. Is about influence your value regardless
position or title. You can influence or give value to anyone, friend, family or others.
 Success = Mindset x Passion x Capability
 Entrepreneurship = Change self, change the company, and change the world
