My Renaissance

After completing most this class, I was very curious about the various critical thinkers,

but now I know the importance this reading and these theories. Taking this course, I knew little

about how the world business has played in a role in society, now and in anciently days.

However, I didn’t know the important with the relationship with in our business modern, and

becoming successful business. What is renaissance? Renaissance means culture rebirth which

was drastic change in culture that occurred in Europe by the middle of seventeenth centuries.

Without the Europeans and their contribution to the society we may not be where we are today.

For instance, our American father’s advice that we may apply for the philosopher’s presentation.

By this critical thinking truly making decision we must first think critically, that why

everything we do has some sort of effect upon ones around. We must make sure that our deeds

reflect positively upon on our society. Now the relationship with business is consist to human

association one of reading that grabbed my attention was “Tulipomaina” reading by Charles

Mackay. A relationship between the consumer tulips is discussed. Tulips flowers were basis on

how the people used trade for supplying. The relationship between consumer and product was

the way how people will grow up tulips that they could more status and value the trade of what

they want like the way of using money. Critical thinking in various business trying to complete

with other businesses for consumers. It is very easy to get lost in the background, because to be

successful and stand out, you must be in a business with full critical thinkers. The opportunity

we had of reading Tulipomania was the way Charles himself explained about the rarity comes
from highly favored classes in ancient days, in my perspective human society should be related

on the thing that other people have completed because yes, we know business should be part of

human society because of development into business and economy. This value relationship was

essential to life because they needed those tulip to buy and sell necessities for life and the article

was enjoyable to read because how it highlighted the importance of currency in whatever form!

This article make me somehow it makes me think about our society and things we may

hold in our minds of having such great prices, however in perspective, the item truly does not

have much price or value at all. People were spending with their saving life for Tulip obtain how

to go to the store and should purchase a dollar or pennies.

Now the relationship of the second article that was interested was “Alienated Labor” by

Karl Marx. He mentioned and highlighted about the relationship between the employer and

employee. The example that being used was how people in the past made chair, they will invest

the hard working behind the chair, so at least they can be recognizing or appreciation for their

hard working they put and the society. Industrialization and division labor have taken out this

type of work because how workers will chip the small piece of chair out of many into the factors

to be assembled. The finished labor work has many labor workers to see how to help them to

make products. Self-esteem in society is combined with fact that labor workers are easily to be

replaced away.

The solution that Marx came up with was to take redistribute and wealth into society.

Now people are more timed to find self- fulfillment and getting time to be with their families and

children. He believed that with higher wages everyone is equally with good opportunity to find

self-fulfillment by people not to be able to sell their soul for low income wages. The employee
need to understand how and see their small things efforts into the large picture and perhaps how

to end the results of the work, the way was started, till the finished products.

This class has given me some thoughts of understanding of how modern world and

ancient world of business work with different relationships, people, and objects of impacting my

adult life. This class has given me the insight into how the world of business runs and I will

intentionally seek businesses to keep my ideas peaked, and give me opportunity to grow and do

better. With this, I will be surrounding myself with people that will motivate me and understand

the value of money and the traps of money associated. My experience in the course called

foundations of Business has forced to rediscover the value of critical thinking. This experience

has been a renaissance for me.
