Since 1996 untill 2019, Tumbala Climbing Rat (Tylomys Tumbalensis Merriam) was categorized as
critically endangered. Non-genuine status change is the reason for change of this mammal because of
complete conversion of native habitat due to urbanization and agriculture.

Mexico (Chiapas)

Last 2004, Pacific Marsupial Frog (Gasthroteca Angustifrons) was categorized as vulnerable species. This
year 2019, it is categorized as crirically endangered. Non-genuine status change is the reason for the
change of this amphibian because of ongoing habitat loss and degradation due to illegal crops, logging,
mining activities and the spraying of illegal crop.

Colombia (mainland); Ecuador (mainland)


Last 1988-1994, Duck-billed Buntingi (Asrianichrhys Kruyti) was categorized as endangered species.
However, on 1996-2019 it is categorized as critically endangered species. Non-genuine status change is
the reason for change because of invasive species, diseases and parasites.

Indonesia (Sulawesi)

Last 1996-2011, Jullen’s Golde Carp (Probarbus Jullieni) was categorized as endangered species. This
year 2019, it is categorized as critically endangered species. Genuine status change is the reason for
change because of habitat loss, degradation, and fragmentation.

Cambodia; Lao’s People Democratic Republic; Malaysia (Peninsular Malaysia); Thailand; Vietnam
Last 1990-1996, Crescent Gambusia ( Gambusia Hurtadoi) was categorized as vulnerable species. This
year 2019, it is categorized as critically endangered species. Non-genuine status change is the reason for
change because of habitat loss due to groundwater over-extraction agricultural and primary habitat
used as a recreational swimming area and bathing area.
