1.1 Introduction:
Project states to the planned set of interrelated tasks to be executed over a fixed period and
within certain cost and other limitations. A project can also be defined as a set of inputs and
outputs required to achieve a particular goal. A project is temporary in that it has a defined
beginning and end in time, and therefore defined scope and resources. It is not a routine
operation, but a specific set of operations designed to accomplish a singular goal.

Project Management is the application of knowledge, skills, tools and techniques to a broad
range of activities in order to meet the requirements of a particular project." Project management
provides people with a powerful set of tools that improves their ability to plan, implement and
manage activities to accomplish specific organizational objectives. Project management is not
limited to the private sector. Project management is also a vehicle for doing good deeds and
solving social problems.

Bangladesh is a developing country from South East Asia having population of 167 million.
Bangladesh has very well developed three tired health care delivery system but the service for
autism is available only at the upper level of the pyramid. The community living at the rural and
semi urban areas is devoid of appropriate services for their ward with Autism. To minimize this
problem and provide an integrated service for all, the country needs to be incorporated the care
for autism from the bottom of health service system, which is at the primary health care. It is not
possible to increase the number of skilled health professionals overnight, so this present project
can create a group of skilled manpower who will be able to provide primary service to the
children with autism and advice to the parents accordingly.

1.2 Objectives of the Project:

To provide effective and better services for children with autism through primary health care by
using existing resources and manpower. We all know autism treatment requires longer period of
time and it is expensive too. In Bangladesh, many child suffer autism without getting proper
treatment due to inadequate facility and financial crisis. Our main objective to conduct this
project was to provide financial support to insolvent child autism by raising fund.

1.3 Scope:
Project scope means the end result of the project. Almost more than50% project fails to obtain
its objectives only because of ambiguous scope. This project will cover the details of providing
financial support for insolvent Child Autism. Now a days each and every single project is very
much essential for all the project manager whether It is short time project or long time project. It
will also focus the project activities ,project priority matrix, creating work break down structure,
total slack etc.
1
1.4 Limitation:
A project manager always looking forward to obtaining the project goals within the estimated
time period. So a lot of sequence and information needed to complete the project. At the time of
doing this project some problems and limitations have encountered which are summarized
below-
 One of the major limitations is the shortage time period of the project.
 We faced difficulty to select insolvent Child Autism as they are too many in number.
 Another limitation was the collection of fund from funding authority.
 As we are working first time in this area practically we had very little ideas about
the project.
 Limitation of personal knowledge was another one. Since knowledge has known no
bound, so this project is incapable to represent all things with more depth.

Project Duration
2.1 Project Name: Fund Raising Project for Insolvent Child Autism.
2.2 Project duration time: 135Days
2.3 Project Activity:

This project basically developed for how can we collect fund for insolvent poor Child Autism
and help them to enjoying a joyful day. Activities of the project are defined on depending the
characters of the project.

2.3.1 Collection:
For collection we select some organizations that had funds for social activities. We talked to
their higher authorities to get adequate funds from CSR to serve Child Autism through our
project. We also talked with some NGO’s which are working in financing poor and insolvent
patients who are deprived from medical facilities and not able to do their treatment.

2.3.2 Selection:
We have selected our project location at Savar. We have visited CRP and Hospital situated at
Savar. We talked to the hospital management to manage list of insolvent patients. We
selected 10 severely ill patients who were badly in need of money for their treatment.

3
2.3.3 Funding:
We have allocated the collected fund in purchasing major drugs for the patients. We spend an
amount to facilitated transportation service for those patients. In addition to that, we also
provided ambulance services in emergency periods.

2.3.4Contribution:
Finally, we were able to facilitate all the basic needs to run the treatment of our selected
patients.

2.4 Project Priority Matrix:

Development of a new Project. In this project we will give first priority to time. So time is
constrained in our project. We consider cost and performance will be enhance.

 Constrain: A parameter is a fixed requirement.

 Enhance: Optimizing a parameter over others.
 Accept: For which criterion is it tolerable not to meet the original
parameters.

3.3 Network computation process:

Drawing the project network places, the activities in the right sequence for computing start and
finish times of activities. Activity time estimates are taken from the task times in the work
package and added to the network. Performing a few simple computations allows the project
manager to complete a process known as the forward and backward pass.

A 60 C 40 D 5 E 20
0 60 60 100 100 105 105 125
0 60 60 100 100 105 105 125 G 10

50 60 125 135

Critical Path = A C D E G
= 60+40+5+20+10
= 135 Days.
3.4 Determining total slack:
When the forward and backward passes have been computed, it is possible to determine which
activities can be delayed by computing slack or float. Total slack tell us the amount of time an
activity can delayed and not delay the project.

ID Activity ES EF LS LF Slacks
A Collection 0 60 0 60 0
B Selection 0 10 50 60 50

4.2 Variance of the project = 25+11.1+1.36+2.78+1.36

=41.6

4.3 Probability of completing the project within

135days= 0.62
From Z table we found z value so, there is 0.2709.So there is 27.09% probability the project
will be complete within 135Days.

4.4 Probability of completing the project within

150 days =1.71
From Z table we found z value .9554. So, there is95.54% probability the project will be
complete within 150days.

8
Conclusion

5.1 Findings:
We can Delay 20 days in Activity A.
We can be Delay 20 Days in activity D.
27.09 % provability of Complete the Project within135days.
We cannot delay in last phase contributing (Activity G)

5.2 Recommendation:
Trying best to do the project in project time.
Although project successfully Provability
27.09%.

5.3 Conclusion:
When did this project, we face some difficulties of collection of fund and distribute it.
We try our best to complete the project within and minimize the risk of the project.
