Materials Procedures and Care Specifics:

Colored pencils: enough pressure to get same color as core and fill in between lines, use tray during use to prevent
from dropping, use hand sharpener only for colored pencils and put shavings in trash and share sharpener with
classmates
Hand Sharpeners: students share sharpeners with peers, return to teacher desk at end of each session
Scissors: use correct size, carry correctly while transporting, only cut their paper, take time while cutting, use long
strokes to cut as close to the edge as possible
Sponge and Tempera Paint: choose any color from given trays and apply even coat across whole page, wash out
sponge in sink until water runs clear
Gluesticks: roll down a bit, only glue bottom edge and edges of snakes, return cap

Specifics that show 1 or 2

Colored Pencils: color does not fill in snakes, color has not had enough pressure to reflect color of core
Scissors: Snakes are cut from going too fast, snakes do not have clean lines along edge
Gluesticks: Student does not return cap to gluestick, snakes or loom does not stick to base
