To Whom It May Concern:

I had the privilege of educating Riley Oberholtzer in her second semester medical and surgical clinical
rotation. I knew immediately upon meeting her that she is going to make a great nurse someday. She has
an aptitude for learning and retaining pathophysiology, Riley excelled at utilization of evidence-based
nursing processes, and she has a great bedside manner that patients found approachable. She is also one of
the kindest people I have ever met. Riley is a hard worker and is a great fit to be a part of the Nurse
Residency Program.

Riley exemplifies the nursing vision to provide nursing care through evidence-based practice, education,
and research. She was on the Dean’s List with Distinction, is an Advanced Placement Scholar, is a
member of the Sigma Theta Tau Honor Society of Nursing, and is a Wildcat Excellence Scholarship
recipient. Riley also has a philanthropic heart and is a collegiate member of the Global Medical Brigade and
has travelled to Ghana to provide nursing care in community clinics . She is a well-rounded individual that
has a sincere dedication to the nursing profession.

When Riley is not studying, she enjoys traveling, hiking with her dog, and practicing yoga. She has life
balance that allowed her to always came to clinical prepared to work hard, contribute to group discussions,
and engage with her patients. I know she will continue this exemplary work ethic.

Riley will become the kind of nurse that will integrate into a multidisciplinary team and really collaborate
with her peers to provide top quality, patient centered care. She will make a great addition to any nursing
unit and will support the nursing mission to deliver healing care for every patient every day.

I ask that you consider Riley Oberholtzer as a new nurse in your residency program. She will elevate your
high performing novice nurse cohorts within the program and will make a valued long term member of your
team.
