1. Comment on your leadership style based on the result of the quiz, “Know your
leadership style.” Indicate your score along the way in your write-up or video.
- I took the “What’s Your Leadership Style” test and I got a total score of
25. There is an interpretation that when a person scores from 21-27, the
kind of leader he or she is democratic or is in to participative style of
leadership, which is very distinctive in me. I can really say that I am this
kind of leader, someone who values and respects the opinions of others,
before giving mine. In my case, I always wanted my team mates to
contribute equally, then talk about our insights together to be able to
come up with a plan that is agreed by everyone. I have believed that 2
or more minds that is working together is better, than working alone and
being confined to your own sets of ideas. Although there are positive
sides in here, it was said that it has down sides during high-pressure
situations maybe because, the time that is used for brain storming must
be used in decision making.

For me, a person has their own capabilities, strengths, and qualities in being
a leader but of course, it is also good to set standards to be able to track
down what is your standing in heading to be an effective leader. I have come
to a decision that a leader must possess the following traits because, these
traits are so important not only for the leader, but to cater the strengths and
weaknesses of each and every group members of the team.

3. We lead first ourselves and only then we lead others. Taking cue from servant
leadership, where do you think your leadership style, qualities and traits will fit most
in fulfilling a social responsibility and doing service.
-As I encounter different persons in my life, I have knew that each and every
person has their own leaderships skills. One person can excel in this thing,
while the other is good at this, that is how this world works. In every aspects
of our life, there will always be someone who is ahead and will lead us.
Leaders are not just meant to give instructions to people, but they should
be the example that other people will follow. In this case, I believe that the
traits and qualities I have will fit most those people who has an open mind
in helping the society. We are still young, and people does not except a big
contribution from us thus, we also start from the small things until we learn
to conquer the bigger things. Let us be a leader in segrating waste, a leader
that prepares during calamities, and other things that are necessary for the
welfare of the citizens, as well as the community itself. We should also try
to think and to be outside the box, we try to join organizations that will help
us in shaping our skills and later on, this will help us lead the future
generations in becoming a leader for a beneficial institution and
organizations. For things to be succesful, it involves the help, mind and
perspective of other people; just like the saying goes, “no man is an island”.
