In reading the books of the Harry Potter the Series, I can reflect some events that may
have been similar with my experiences.
I am glad to have met people that are nice and are frank about what they feel about me.
But in reality, it is not important what they think about me as long as I am having fun and
living my life. Having to be told about the truth about my life, is a hard thing to accept.
Yes it is hard, but knowing that people are there to support my back. Then there's
nowhere to go but forward.
In Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets, this book made me realize that never trust
just anybody. We never know those who are close to us can be the one who will destroy
us. Even though, this person might have done something wrong but that does not mean
they have done it purposely. Like what Ginny did. She just wrote down her deepest
darkest secrets in the diary and just like that she innocently and unknowingly
summoned Voldemort.
People we romourly know, can be the kindest and the most broken people we might
encounter in our lives. So we should not judge the book by its cover. Rumors are
commonly false so we must not just base our judgment about just a simple rumor. Like
Sirius Black, he's the godfather of Harry Potter, but he was falsely accused about aiding
Voldemort in killing Harry's parents. But he was the sweetest and the kindest godfather
to Harry in a shortest period of time.
In Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince I learned that we should not assume things
that isn't supposed to be assumed. Like Harry thought he was the Half-Blood Prince, but
truly it was Snape who was the Half Blood Prince. As Prince was derived from his
mother's surname, Eileen Prince. Since his father was a muggle/ human born without a
magic. Hence, he was a Half Blood Prince.
I learned that we should not be greedy and be contented about the smallest things. Like
Voldemort sought for the wand, sword and the cup that would be of use to be powerful.
Because J.K. Rowling is an amazing writer who writes for both young and old to enjoy
her works. Harry Potter is appealing to both ages because of the idea that one is cut
away from the family, and there is a sense of freedom and youthful abandon in this,
which is, I believe the reason for the book s popularity with adults. To children the idea
of an environment without the constant shadow of parents is also attractive, and lends
to the interest in the characters behavior without them.
It appealed to me as a dimension where I can freely get into and get away with the
reality. It's a book full of magnificent ideas, loaded with creative fantasies that no one
can even imagine. A whole new world I can dive into and explore new things that I can
not in the real world.
