Salmonella species represent uncommon causative agents in focal infections of the head and neck. This article

presents a rare case of Salmonella submandibular abscess in a 59-year-old patient with diabetes mellitus, (100 minimum order)
chronic hepatitis and liver cirrhosis. The patient was successfully treated with drainage of the abscess and oral
administration of quinolone. An immunocompromised condition can be a critical predisposing factor for
Salmonella submandibular abscess.
