Read about inventions (like telescope, steam engine, etc.) and inventors. Understand the
basic concepts of topics like thermodynamics, mechanics (Newton’s laws of motion,
projectile, conservation of energy, equations of motion, etc.), gravity, motion, work,
pressure, units of measurement, sound, optics (reflection, refraction, total internal
reflection, etc.), heat, electronics, magnetism, etc.
Chemistry
In Chemistry, you can expect questions from SI units, chemistry in everyday life,
commercial use processes (Ostwald’s process, Haber’s process, etc.), commonly used
chemicals like sodium hydroxide and sodium bicarbonate, important catalysts, reactions,
commercial application of chemicals (PET, POP), chemical and physical change, definition
based questions (reduction, oxidation, etc.).
Biology
Binary classification, class, phylum, vaccines, inventions like vaccination and
pasteurization, commercial applications of animal and plant derivatives (quinine,
penicillin, anti-venom, etc.), cell structures, environment and agriculture, parts of plants
and their functions, basics of animal kingdom, parts of human body and their functions,
nutrients and deficiency, vectors, parasites, bacteria and viruses, botany, zoology,
transmission mechanisms, requirement of nutrients, body systems, functions of organs,
diseases, prevention and cure, etc.
Algebra: Basic algebraic identities of School Algebra and Elementary surds (simple
problems) and Graphs of Linear Equations.
Geometry: Familiarity with elementary geometric figures and facts, Triangle and its
various kinds of centres, Congruence and similarity of triangles, Circle and its chords,
tangents, angles subtended by chords of a circle, common tangents to two or more circles.
Statistical Charts: Use of Tables and Graphs: Histogram, Frequency polygon, Bar-
diagram, Pie-chart
