I am applying for the scholarship.

Describe your group’s service project in 50 words or less.

- Our group’s service was quite interesting and productive.We have chosen a special
school for children with certain disease.In this school learn about 100children in need of
certain things.First of all this kids need socks because they recive only two pairs each ear
and also they need things for school.We tried to get all this stuff with the help of our
schools who have donated things and money,and also contact different people who could
help us, make events in facebook.It was harder with the ONG and different firma because
we weren’t an organization and we are not 18 yeat We were very glad to see the
happiness on the faces of those kids reciving the things we brought them.

What was your primary role as a member of this group, and what did you
accomplish?

I think my role was to maintain contact between group and school ,and within the group as
wellWe didn’t have necessarily a group leader but our relations as group members were quite
good and united in my opinion.

I have found the school and maintain the contact with the director. I have spoken with the
director of my school and wrote posters and announcements.My mother is a teacher and with her
help I have contacted some other schools as well and I have collected over 40 bags with clothes
and staff for school and over 160 pairs of socks(wich were the most imported).I have contacted
my aunt what works in the Government and she has donated also things for school like folders,
files, notebooks, paper.

I have founded as well some people who could help us but we needed for that some documents
we didn’t have because we weren’t an organization.

I have contacted my cousin who works in a big company ”AUDIT” and they promised that they
will make Christmas presents to those kids.

One of my friends who also got implied learn Theology and have spoken with the prists who
have also donated some staff.

Yesterday we were there for the second time because it is in a village and brought to the kids
everything we had.My friends have made announcements in different sites and bought
copybooks and some people have donated a bike for making gym

I am not going to abandonate this project and I hope I’ll be able to do something else for those
poor children.

How did you use concepts taught at STW Camp?

I think that the most of all I have learn how I have to communicate with the people if I want
them to listen me.We tried to work together in harmony and I really hope we did it well,because
it was very important for the job we were making.

We have set goals(for ex. Socks and staff for school) and tried to resolve the problems we had
for making this goals become true.

It is a bit more difficult with the leader because we didn’t have one.

How did your STW volunteer experiences (during camp and after) affect your
thinking?

Well,I think now I am more attentive to the people in need and the problems my society has.I
became an active member of my society(I hope I did).
I always remember myself making those tattoos for collecting money and I am so proud of
myself because we could make happy those children!

Have you become involved in any other volunteer service activities since
camp? If so, describe.

I am afraid not, because I am really involved in the school and other staff and I just don’t have
time at all…

If you are selected to receive the scholarship to attend STW Camp -USA, will
you be willing to help recruit delegates next spring for Camp Moldova
Summer 2010?

Of course I WILL!!! My summer experience that I had was so just beautiful that even if I don’t
receive the scholarship I will be willing to help and please call me for that.

Will you be willing to help during Camp Moldova 2010, using what you’ve
learned in both Moldova and USA camps? If so, what do you believe you can
offer to the next camp and the new delegates?

As I said I am willing to help and first of all I think I can offer my ideas(my crazy ideas) and
learn people making tattoos and armbands. As well I can draw and play a little guitar and
another national instrument. And I hope we can do together a great job, as STW always does.

Please make a statement to the generous donors who made our camp
possible about what participation in STW-Moldova 2009 meant to you.

I am extremely thankful to those generous donors who made our camp possible because I have
learned so much during this time and made so many friends. I have learned so many new things
witch are so important to me now and understood what a volunteer is. Thanks to them and to our
just wonderful teachers and directors I became such an immense satisfaction and learned so
much for myself.
