Peer Feedback on Project

My project plan was reviewed by two of my classmates. Each expressed their agreement
in my ideas, stating that I had a solid train of thought. I received positive feedback on the
explanations of my ideas though there were three areas in which I was told I should explain my
thoughts in more detail. I received positive feedback in three places as well as and was given
room to expand in others.
My ability to express my idea about how virtual reality would be useful in museums was
successful as I was told that having VR setups would be very cool and of interest. I received
compliments on my mention of how VR is exclusive and my desire to have it improved for
people with disabilities and my implementation of AI into museums was impressive as well.
When discussing the shortfalls and disadvantages of each technology, all who read my plan
agreed that they needed more explanation. My explanations on how the three technologies could
be used for good or bad needed expansion as well.

Implementation of feedback:
When beginning the revision of my project based on my feedback, I started with
providing more detail and explanation where my feedback expressed it was needed. The first
location was when discussing shortfalls and disadvantages of artificial intelligence. I had stated
that it was costly but needed to add in information about how the price of AI affected its
accessibility. I also received feedback saying I needed to expand on my claim of how AI could
impact the job of museum tour guides. I originally had just stated that they could be impacted
and needed to express how I thought AI would impact them. I had many other spots like the ones
mentioned where I stated something but not the how or why that thing was possible.
None of the feedback I received was unreasonable. It focused on making sure I was fully
explaining my ideas and including all the necessary information. My project may have been a
little idealistic but I worked to thoroughly explain why I wanted my idea to be that particular
way.

Learning Reflection:
Looking back I’ve learned that I often don’t fully explain my viewpoints and ideas the
first time I formulate my ideas. I have to go back and reread my work or have it pointed out to
me that something is not fully explained. I have learned that I should reread my own work before
asking for feedback because that way the feedback I receive isn’t on things I already know how
to improve.
If I had to start again, I would have allowed myself to think up some, what could be
considered absurd, ideas because they would’ve allowed me to think of new paths and ideas for
what I had already. I also would’ve tried to be super extra with my video in the idea of including
videos of good quality. I wouldn’t change what I currently have in my video though as
considering my ability to make videos was not super high, I think I did well.
Alternative Use / Future directions
The technology I used in my project has many uses I did not originally consider.
Artificial intelligence can take over the jobs of many individuals and while I knew that on a
subconscious level, I never fully considered the scale to which it was true. It is unlikely that AIs
will take over jobs such as teachers and professors as well as bank tellers and jobs where many
people value human interaction but that doesn’t mean they don’t have the potential. Virtual
Reality also has the potential of becoming very take-overy. Humans very rarely monitor their
intake of technology and these will be no different.
