On the month of November, San Isidro College celebrating the Education week. And on
November 2019, we are having a FORA from the scool of Education with the SED Dean
Mrs. Sol Simbulan, and staffs including Mrs. Manilyn Nahial, Mrs. Carmelyn M. Oli, Mr.
Evan Taja-on, Ms. Roseve Miras ,Mrs. Pabillaran, and also with my co-students. Before
the program started, Ms. Roseve Miras introduced to us the theme of FORA, SED IN
MISSION Hastag H.O.P.E. H for Heaven-sent, O for Open-minded, P for Par-excellence,
and E for Empowered. After giving the introduction, the Dean Mrs. Simbulan discuss
about what is the meaning or message of our theme, and after that she shared to us the
video of a teacher Mr. Jayme from Los Angeles, who implementing innovative
strAtegies. While watching his story of teaching, I realized how much hard teaching is
and communicating to your students because each students has their own behavior and
attitude. After watching video, I have a lot of learning that would help.me in teaching
someday. Mr. Jayme is a good and responsible teacher, he never quit in teaching his
students even though he experience bullies, and some of his students who didn't
respect him. The video that we watch is very inspirable and encourageable. Mr. Jayme
is a kind of teacher who never surrender until he succeed.

After watching the video, the Dean give us a short summary of that video and after that
he discuss again about the practices of a teacher, teaching strategies, and things that
needed to consider as a teacher. While listening to the discussion of our Dean, I learn
that being a teacher it is out responsibilities to know our students, know our subject
matter, and to know our teaching. A teacher able to use some teaching strategies like
lecture, Discussion, and Demonstration strategies. I believe that this strategies is very
effective, it can help students improve and enhance their knowledge and skills. The
Dean mentioned that in teaching, teachers are able to communicate with rules and
procedures, teachers should provide students with all materials needed to complete,
teachers should clearly presenting the goal objective for each assignment, teacher
should offering encouragement and positive feedback to students like positive
reinforcement and the classroom should always be aware safe. Teachers should
allowing students to keep track of their learning, all students should know where they
stand. Teachers should have accessibility to students use electronic communication as
well as face to face like lecturing at the front. Teachers should monitor the students
work and knowing every students by name and being able to recognize them outside of
the environment Teachers should allowed students to progress through assignment at
their own pace and providing help to understand and practice new knowledge. And
lastly, teachers should treating all students equally.

and world better than you found it.

San Isidro College celebrating the Education Week last November 8-15, 2019 with the
theme SED in Mission # HOPE stands Heavensent, Open minded, Par excellence and
Empowered. On the first day we are having a FORA from the school of Education
headed by our every own Dean Dr. Sol G. Simbulan. Before the program started, Ms.
Miras ask what is FORA and after that they also introduced the first speaker of our
program which is our Dean Dr. Sol G. Simbulan . After giving the introduction, our dean
started discuss what is the meaning of our theme, and after she discuss the teaching
strategies and also how we can communicate our students. And also she shared a story
about the one student steal the snack with her classmate. After that she shared to us
the movie of a teacher Mr. Jayme Escalante from Los Angles, who implementing
innovative strategies. While watching the movie I realize how teaching important is
even though her student’s can’t listen him but he didn’t give up because he love te
aching and to share her knowledge to her students. Now, I realize that hard teaching
and communicating to your students is important because each students have their own
world. And after watching the movie, i have lot of lesson I learned the movie that would
help me in my teaching someday. Mr. Escalante is a good teacher , brave and
responsible teacher, he never give up teaching with their students even though he
encounter a bullies to her students some of his student who didn’t respect him. The
movie that I seened is very in spireable to the future teacher. Mr. Escalante is good
teacher he never give up until they succeed. According to Shah Rukh Khan “Success is
not a good teacher, failure makes you humble”

After the movie done the Dean give a short summary of movie and after that she
continue discuss about the teaching strategies and practice teaching. While I’m setting
so sleepy but I have learn the discussion of the speaker, we should know our students,
we should know our subject matter and also know our teaching style/strategies.
Because teachers are able have a some teaching strategies example lecture, discussion
and demonstration. The speaker said this strategies is very effective, it can help your in
to the future if we a teacher. The speaker also mentioned that teacher are able to
communicate the to have a good relationship with other with rules and the procedures
and also monitoring students work, allowing students to progress through assignment at
their own peace, and providing help to understand and practice new knowledge, lastly
the teachers treat the students equally. And the whole of life, from the moment you
are born to the moment you die is a process of learning.

And the next part of the program our speaker is Ms. Josette S. Ygonia she discuss all
about his experience about teaching his experience inspired as a future educator be
cause we need to fight the challenges until we success. We can’t say “pwede na”
because we are teacher we need to make a perfect project etc. Because education is
what survives when what has been learned ha been forgotten.

On last day of our education week we have a culmination and awarding to the winner of
the following activity like poster making, essay writing. And we also perform a role play
with the selected student in titled I was their Teacher that story is very meaningful if you
understand .Teachers encourage minds to think, hands to create and hearts to love.
