I. COURSE DESCRIPTION:

The students will receive instruction in and demonstrate the ability to perform basic
mathematical function and problem solving in the following areas: place value, adding and
subtracting whole numbers and money, multiplication, division, estimation and problem-solving.

COURSE OUTCOMES:
At the end of the semester, the learners will have:
In the end of the semesters, The Third Graders will strengthen their problem solving skills while
working with a variety of mathematics problems. The students will communicate their math thinking
through writing and oral explanations. Number concepts will be explored while identifying place value,
ordering, rounding, estimating, adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing numbers.

II. TIME ALLOTMENT: (Number of hours)


The class will have 60 minutes in teaching the third Graders.
