Concept Exploration
The researchers noticed that students don’t bring their student handbook anymore
and as for newly enrolled students they have a difficulty of locating themselves in the
campus. It has occurred that the researchers agreed and decided to make a student
handbook and map in a mobile android application. Based on the researchers
observation and experience. We have our handly student’s handbook but the idea of
distributing copies to students and for them not bring the handbook from our point of
view is waste of the raw materials, labor, and the literature itself. The researchers
choose to develop a solution to this problem. By creating a mobile android application
that is capable of addressing the problem, an easy to used, easy to carry handbook in
the user’s pocket.
CHAPTER III
METHODOLOGY
This chapter presents the system development methodology used for the
development of the software. The researcher used the Agile Model in developing the
Student Handbook Android Application. The Agile Model includes the different stages
such as Planning, Requirement Analysis, Coding, Unit Testing and Acceptance Testing.
In the Requirements Gathering and analysis, the researcher gathered information from
the clients, who were the whole student of TCC. After gathering data, the researchers
analyze the system and design by its functions. The next step is the development phase
where the researcher considered the software and hardware requirements for the
development and improvement of the system. To prove that the system worked
properly, the researcher did the testing phase, and double checked the function of each
features of the application. The system had met the standard expectation of the users
until the system had been distributed to the users. In order to maintain longer, the users
must have the responsibility to take good care of their cellular devices. The researcher
conducted data gathering from the students from different departments in the Tagoloan
Community College. The students were provided some evaluation form and were asked
The researchers used the Systems development life cycle (SDLC) in planning and
managing the development process. The researchers choose the Agile Model. A
traditional way of developing in Software Engineering. The Agile model is a model which
was developed for software development that is creating software. To develop software
in small, quick segments. As a result, businesses are able to release small changes to
users more frequently; each release serves as a foundation for the next one.
