Reaction Of Students Towards Their Teachers Attitude

Background of the Study

The relationship between students and teachers plays a large role in the trajectory of a
child academic success and social development. A positive relationship established with their
teachers helps the students feel more comfortable and safe in their classroom environment.
Additionally, teachers attitude can affect their students ability to learn the willingness. This
study aims to explore the impact of teachers’ favouritism, gossips, and aggressive comments
towards the learning of students in school.

Gossips of teachers towards their students make learners feel bad and judged. Student lose
their confidence and these affect their performance in class. According to (Leslie Weilsen n.d.),
the pain gossip can cause to learners are immeasurable. Those are especially true for girls.
Gossip can be associated with loneliness, depression, anxiety, and even suicide. As a result,
learners that are the focus of gossip could develop poor self esteem or develop disrespectful
attitude and anger towards their teachers.

Students reaction towards their teachers was based on how teachers treat them and
value them. Teachers gossiping, favouritism, and aggressive comments impacts how learners
feedback their teachers.

Statement of the problem

This study aims to determine the reaction of students towards their teachers attitude in
school.

Specifically it saught to answer the following questions:

1. What are the reaction of students towards the teacher whom make gossips about them?

Delimitation of the Study

This study aims to determine the learners reactions to teachers’ gossiping. This will be
conducted among the Grade 10 learners of Cadagmayan National High School of the school
year 2019-2020. This research will use survey, questionnaires, and observation which would
employ survey sheets, guide questions , and observation notes respectively.

Significance of the Study

The result of this study will benefit the following persons:

Teachers. This study may help them how to treat or how to deal with their students so that
they will have a better relationship with each other.

Definition of Terms

/ Students/-- English Dictionary (n.d.) defines student as a person who studies a particular
academic subject.

In this study, student refers to a person to a Grade 10 who studies in Cadagmayan

National High School school year 2019-2020.

/Gossips/-- Talk or rumors involving the personal lives of other people .( English Dictionary n.d.)
