Executive Summary
Blockchain is a technology considered by many to be something as
relevant as the rise of the Internet. There have been experiments with
block-chain since the early 1990’s, but it was only in 2008, with the
release of a white paper by an individual or group of individuals under
the pseudonym of Satoshi Nakamoto, that block-chain gained wide
adoption and became popular.
Human Resources (HR), the most valuable asset an organization
possesses – its People. Organizations face challenges in
understanding employees, as they are important due to knowledge
and technology skills they possess, for any services they offer to their
customers. Hence authenticity of human resource information in
terms of qualification, experience and skills they possess is very
important in ensuring efficiency and cost of human resource
management.

document repository platform solution which can be used to secure,
share and authenticate employment life-cycle records of an
employee. It shall allow employers (issuers) to secure all their human
resource information starting from hiring, on-boarding to exit of
employee - (beneficiary) and allow the employee (beneficiary) to
seamlessly share and distribute them to anybody through the
platform.

About DocsLedger
Secure, Share & Authenticate Certificates

It is a permissioned block-chain based online SaaS (Software as a


Service) platform only for authorized/registered users. The employer
(issuer), employee (beneficiary) to whom the employment life-cycle
documents are issued and also any agency (verifier) who shall want to
authenticate the certificates need to be part of this platform. The verifier
shall also be an employer or any other third-party agency.

The platform provides a document wallet for all authorized/registered


users, which has all the documents/certificates issued to them and shared
with them.

How it works?
The following stakeholders shall be participants/ stakeholders of this platform:
1. Employer (Issuer)
2. Employee (Beneficiary)
3. Third Party Agencies^ (Verifier)

^ - Verifier can be either be another Employer or any other third-party verification agency.

EMPLOYER, EMPLOYEE

directly into the platform at
the time of issuance.

EMPLOYEE can then make use of these verified certificate, SHARE them through the
platform for their compliance needs (Higher education or Employment).

VERIFIERS can AUTHENTICATE for any employment record of an employee


for its availability and non-tampering of information.

VERIFIERS (if required and optional) can


upload details of employment record
along with the digital document (version
of employee employment certificate) with
the required fee and forward it as an
application to the respective employer for
VERIFICATION.

EMPLOYER shall get notified and also


the employment record uploaded by
verifiers gets listed as application for
verification and approval. On approval by
the employer, the employee employment
details along with the certificate gets
hashed and secured in block-chain.

Who can use this?
•The platform enables the HR team to secure all their sensitive employee data related
to recruitments, pay, healthcare policies, tax deduction certificates, promotions,
disciplinary records, performance records, expense reimbursement, investment
records and the releiving letter in one place till the employee exits the organization.
•Helps them improve recruitment processes, determine the accuracy of a potential
Employer employee’s work and education history. Make better decisions and allow strong
performers to rise to the top.

•Enables them to share employment history, letters of recommendation, educational


records, renumeration details and more to the potential employers through the
platform. Employment history of an employee gets created and updated in the
platform with one or multiple employers.
•Assures the information shared from the platform are accurate and impervious to
Employee unauthorized changes as they are stored directly in the platform from trusted sources
such as authorized institutes and employers.

•Enhances the document verification process of employer or third party agencies by


reducing time, effort, resources and definetly the cost. No possibility of candidates
adjusting their resumes according to the job requirements in terms of skills,
qualification and experience.

How do we start?
1. Proof of Concept

o We can discuss about one or two immediate document authentication


needs with respect to the issuance of documents/certificates.
o We together identify one or two document types and carry out a Proof of
Concept (POC).
o You spend small, evaluate and decide on further spending.

2. Full-fledged Implementation

o Evaluate output of the POC, decide to move on with larger scope and
expanded data sets.
o Define a larger period like last 10 years or more, authenticate and archive
all the document /certificates issued during that period.
o Allow public access to the secured block-chain portal and make it part of
your website.
o Allow employees and other employers to use the Blockchain Portal to
authenticate and verify the certificates issued by your institution.
