-Communication is important because it is the foundation of all the relationships. It is the key to understanding one another. Without it, the world will be mute and unable to share everything.
2. Did you experience difficulties in communicating
with your classmates, friends/colleagues here in Roxas City? How did you overcome it? -Yes, because I don’t know how to speak the city’s dialect. It was hard for me at first because I was at the adjusting period. But months passed, because of my classmates, I somehow blended in with what they speak.
3. As a minister’s kid, how will you handle the situation
when you transfer from one place to another? A. Adapting the culture of a certain place B. Learning the language -Well culture shock is no longer a new thing for me. I’ve been to many places and it’s really hard because sometimes it affects my studies and my relationship with my friends. Adapting a culture of a city is a must because it is a part of communication. If you don’t know how to “blend in” you won’t be able to communicate to people around you, you won’t be able to know their “rules”, their “do’s and don’ts and that will make you a different and “alien” to them. - Learning the language takes time. I am most likely to observe people around me. How they speak and what they speak. With that, I am able to learn something with them. 4. What have you learned here in Filamer Christian University? - If we’re talking about academic skills, I’ve learned a lot. But if we’re talking about life skills, I could share a few. Well here’s a bit of differentiation. FCU taught me things I should know about the school. Like for example, their rules and regulations, everything about the school’s policy and etc. now the PEOPLE of FCU taught me how to not only speak Hiligaynon but they also taught me how to cope up. They are very nice to me and they are the ones who makes leaving FCU hard. 5. What you do not want here in Filamer Christian University? - There’s nothing I don’t like about FCU. I like the people, the school. Everything is fine and good. I would definitely recommend this school to my friends if they move there in Capiz.
