At SCAD, your high school diploma is one of the needed documents to apply for admissions.
There is no GPA requirement listed on their website at all, no matter how much I searched, but
you are required to submit a portfolio when applying for any field they provide. You must have
an SAT score of at least 550 on the critical reading portion, or 22 on both the reading and writing
sections of the ACT, but is only required of students that do not have English as their first
language. At SCAD there are many clubs and athletics you can choose from with a total of 53
clubs and 7 athletics for both male and female at the Atlanta campus. The deadline for
submitting an application is six months in advance to starting the quarter, as there are no firm
deadlines and year-round applications are accepted. The tuition is $37575 each year and the
room and board is $11121 but depends on where you want to stay and can be cheaper than this
amount. Financial aid is available to assist qualified students with paying for their SCAD
education, including scholarships, grants, federal and private loans, work-study programs. The
address is 1600 Peachtree St NW, Atlanta, GA 30309. The campus is in downtown Savannah,
which makes it right next to multiple shops and strip malls. This makes it easy to get to and from
campus if you are unable to access a vehicle. Over the past three years, the average retention
rate for undergraduate students was 83 percent. The graduation rate is 65.4%. The pupil teacher
ratio is 20:1. Their academic integrity policy includes this information in this clause, “Under all
circumstances, students are expected to be honest in their dealings with faculty, administrative
staff and other students. For purposes of this policy, the term faculty or faculty member includes
any person engaged by the university to act in a teaching capacity, regardless of the person’s
actual title. In speaking with members of the SCAD community, students must give an accurate
representation of the facts at hand. Failure to do so is considered a breach of the Student Code
of Conduct and may result in sanctions against the student, including suspension or dismissal.”
They offer sequential art at SCAD which is very good because I really want to go there. SCAD is
accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges and
other regional and professional accrediting bodies. SCAD is very important to me because I have
done summer programs at their campus. I met the teachers of the major I want to go into and
learned so much from them. It was a whole other world in that school and I would like to
experience it more.
