University of Montevallo

At the University of Montevallo, incoming freshmen must graduate from high school for
regular admission, as the admission criteria is based on a combination of high school grade point
averages and ACT or SAT scores. The minimum GPA for admission is 2.5. An acceptable score for
the SAT or ACT is 1030 SAT or 20 ACT, but can be 970 SAT or 18 or 19 ACT if GPA is of increasing
scale. The University of Montevallo provides many sports for both males and females and have
gone to the national level with many of their teams. They have more than 90 student
organizations and 14 Greek organizations with the oldest homecoming tradition of its kind in the
States. The deadline for submitting an application is August 15 for general admissions. The
Undergraduate tuition for in-state is $12040 and the out-of-state is $24310. The room and board
is $9,030. The University of Montevallo’s provided financial aid includes: scholarships, grants,
federal work study, loans, and VA education benefits. The campus is located in Montevallo, AL on
75 College Dr. The area contains several restaurants, like fast food and also dine-in, and has quite
a few shops such as: Falcon Art Supply, CVS, The Flower Shop, etc. The graduation rate is 44.4%
and the retention rate is 73.0%. The pupil teacher ratio is 14 students to one staff member. The
consequences received for a plagiarized assignment include: will receive no credit, i.e., a “zero,”
and an Academic Dishonesty Incident Form concerning the incident will be kept on file in the
Office of the Vice President of Student Affairs. A plagiarist is also subject to failure in the course
and/or an appearance before the Justice Council. The University of Montevallo is accredited by
the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges to award Bachelor’s,
Master’s, and Educational Specialist degree. The University reserves the right to deny any person
the privilege of operating and/or parking a motor vehicle on campus. The University assumes no
responsibility for losses from fire, theft, or from any other cause when cars are parked on
campus. City and State regulations, rules, and all directive signs governing the use of motor
vehicles must be observed at all times. Basic vehicle rules apply to parking and regulation. This
college is important because it has one of the cheapest art programs in the States, but also good.
My probability in enrolling into this university is low because this is just a college I can fall back
onto when my main college does not give me enough scholarship money. This university is my
plan B when things go south because it is always good to have a backup plan.
